Circumstances chose my destiny

Usurping love from its core,

Replacing it with mutiny

Creating an endless war

Life has never been a game for me

At times I won and times I lost,

And the reality of life’s tragedy

With its painful human cost

Putting all I had on the line

Sacrificing time and time again,

I wonder if I was blind

From tears that fell like rain

God’s grace helped me to dream again

With the solace of a peaceful Dove,

While dancing in the snow and rain

Basking in my Father’s love!
