Poverty permeating the world today

Bludgeoning people of every race,

I lift my voice to the Heaven’s and pray

Grant them sustaining grace

Man’s advancement in technology

And medicine for every ill,

Yet life for many is a tragedy

And mundaneness of a myriad hill

Few have garnered the world’s wealth

Protected by Government’s of every creed,

While there are so many with flagging health

And children they cannot feed

So, in the midst of this reality

For us who have in excess,

Our trigger mechanism of generosity

Should bestow unto those we can bless!
