President [Charmer in Chief] Obama and Thailand’s PM

Posted in President Obama, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Women, Women's Rights with tags , , , on November 30, 2012 by sheriffali

Thailand was the first Asian Country to reach out to America after winning Independence from Britain!

Before the dinner, President Obama toasted the character and strength of the Thai people.

“Everything that I’ve felt — your dignity, your resilience, your friendship, your warmth — that is the foundation of our alliance,” he said. “It’s why you were the first Asian nation to reach out to America after we won our independence. It’s why in Asia, to this day, we can say Thailand is our oldest friend. And we are extraordinarily proud of that friendship, and we are especially pleased to see the excellent leadership that, Madam Prime Minister, you are providing as you continue this country’s path of democracy, freedom and development.”

PRESIDENT OBAMA & THAILAND'S PM-1

Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham “scrotums” are on “fire,” because of Parboiled American Brown Rice!

Posted in 2001, Balls on fire, Benghazi, Bush's Policies, Commitment, Condoleeza Rice - Liar, Dick Cheney, Dr. Susan Rice, Dreams, Education, Equal rights for all, Equality, Extreme Views, Fox News, George W. This “Rice” [Susan] looks fairly short to “long grain white rice,” Senators John McCain, Lindsay Graham and Kelly Ayotte. Dementia! There isn’t any other word to describe McCain, Graham, Ayotte and others who are following them on the Benghazi tragedy. As for Mrs. Ayotte she follows McCain and Graham like a dog in “heat,” but as for those two guys, well they no longer have “heat,” they are possessed by “HATE!”

Ambassador Rice subsequent to the Benghazi attacked that killed our Ambassador and three other Americans, stated that the information she was providing was what they had at the time and that, we would have to wait until a proper investigation is completed, to know the facts. I am of the firm belief that the Obama Administration is doing everything possible to find the perpetrators of this heinous act and bring them to justice, just as Obama did with Osama Bin Laden.

We must never forget that it was George W. Bush and his Administration that sat on threats made by Al Qaeda right up until August 6, 2001. This is no fiction it is fact! The Court Ordered release of the NIE (National Intelligence Estimate) on August 6, 2001 read;

Al Qaeda determined to strike within the United States using Aircrafts as Weapons.”

The daily Intelligence Briefing on August 6,  was given to then President George W. Bush carried that statement right at the very top. Bush’s then National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice saw the same information as Bush did. Along with these two, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and many others would have had access to the NIE briefing and what did they do; NOTHING! They sat on their arrogant backsides and allowed us to be decimated by the 9/11 attacks that killed over 3,000 Americans on American Soil.

One has to wonder; where were the Balls on fire McCain, Graham, the “in heat” Ayotte along with the other non-stop critics on the Benghazi attack then? Where was the Republicans Media Mouth Piece – Fox News – when 9/11 occurred?

I am neither White nor Black and people can think whatever they want, but, I am no racist. However, to suggest that racism does not exist in America is a fool’s folly! It seems very apparent that when a Republican Administration Screws-Up we should just accept it because it is beyond us. However, in this Benghazi tragedy I do believethat it is not only because President Obama is a Democrat, but it has more to do with him being Black!

Hamas launching Rockets into Israel; defies logic and is responsible for the carnage in Gaza!

Posted in Egypt, Gaza, Gaza war, Hamas, Hamas Rockets, Hillary Clinton, Iran, Israel, Israelis, Mohammed Morsi, Palestinians, President Obama, Two State with tags , , , , , on November 21, 2012 by sheriffali

Common sense must replace arrogance; the future must usurp the past; acceptance must trump tolerance; forgiveness has to supersede retribution, if anything good is going to come out of the “madness” in the Middle-East!

The launching of Rockets by Hamas into Israel for the past years and having continued this madness has brought us to the present predicament. These actions defy logic, irrespective of how much Hamas and its supporters “spin the nonsense.”

There isn’t a Country in the Middle East than can win a War against Israel and with that being fact, to what end is Hamas’ Madness?

Yes, I think it is a fact that the world agrees that there must be a Two State implementation that perhaps would bring about a final resolve to this endless conflict, but, Hamas firing Rockets into Israel, fully cognizant that Israel would retaliate, simply put, is a sinister move by Hamas. [Hamas is responsible for the death and destruction from the Israeli munitions]

If Hamas truly cared about the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza rather than being a “Proxy” for Iran, that would be a more positive step in the right direction.

There is a massive window of opportunity than can be vetted and utilized to bring about a lasting solution for both the Palestinians and the Israelis and the region as a whole.

The Arab Spring brought about the removal of Egypt’s nightmare, Hosni Mubarak, but ushered in Mohammed Morsi, someone whom I truly believe has the Palestinians interest at heart. However, Mr. Morsi is walking a fine line because the Moslem Brother-Hood has had a questionable image, whether such judgment is wrong or right. Egypt needs America’s foreign aid and to that end, Mr. Morsi is going to have to be the “honest broker” that wouldn’t only help the Palestinian issue, but can bring about tremendous economic changes and remove Egypt from the deep and unforgiving waters that Mr. Mubarak allowed it to fall into.

The extreme side of the Moslem Brother-Hood is going to have to assist Mr. Morsi in a positive manner, setting aside all of the firebrand language, same as what is permeated by the Republicans in America.

Egypt, who has accepted “hand-outs,” can move to become a viable and self sustainable financial productive power, and truly live out the greatness and might that Egypt was, a millennium plus, years ago.

People of all races and religions are going to have to go beyond just tolerance and delve into “acceptance,” if any good is going to come out of a region, whose people have truly suffered.

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton final tour as Partners!

Posted in America, Burma, Cambodia, Hillary Clinton, Hope for better tomorrows, humility, President Obama, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Secretary of State, Thailand, Women's Rights with tags , , , , , on November 19, 2012 by sheriffali

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — They emerged from Air Force One together, side by side, smiling at the crowd waiting on the tarmac below. Then as they headed down the stairs, she held back just a little so that she would stay a step behind him.

For President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, this week’s trip to Southeast Asia is to be their last foreign adventure together in office, an intriguing, sometimes awkward closing road show that is nostalgic over a partnership at an end yet hints at a future ripe with possibility.

Four years after their cage-match battle for the presidency, the rivals-turned-allies proved a more compatible team than either might have imagined when Mrs. Clinton first accepted his invitation to join the cabinet. Though not exactly close friends, they developed a working relationship of respect, one in which Mr. Obama gave her the freedom to roam the world while she strategically deferred to him in ways small and large as she carried out his policies and shaped her own.

Mrs. Clinton’s signature initiative as America’s top diplomat is what has become known as the administration’s “pivot to Asia,” a strengthening of United States strategic, security and economic ties in the Asia-Pacific region. It is a policy Mr. Obama advanced with his three-country trip that began Saturday and included two nations never before visited by an American president, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Now as the president prepares to begin his second term, the secretary is stepping down, bone weary, according to aides, and ready for an extended rest after nearly a million miles of globe-trotting. She has waxed about the days not far off when she can relax, read a book and even travel just for pleasure. But many on Air Force One these last few days, not least the president himself, expect her to be back after a rest, making a bid to succeed him in 2016 and redefining their relationship once again.

As the last day of the trip arrived on Tuesday morning, Mrs. Clinton reflected briefly. “It’s been great,” she told reporters who stopped her in a hotel before heading out to summit meetings. “It’s been bittersweet, nostalgic, all the things you would expect.”Mr. Obama, too, has seemed to focus on the journey’s nature of finality, making a point of praising Mrs. Clinton publicly as they have jetted across Southeast Asia. They met up in Thailand and then traveled together on Monday to Myanmar and finally here to Cambodia. Along the way, they teamed up to meet with premiers and potentates, tour an ancient golden pagoda and chat with a Buddhist monk about budget deficits and maybe even presidential politics.

On the porch of the house of Myanmar’s opposition leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Mr. Obama gave Mrs. Clinton a shout-out.

“Where did Hillary go?” he suddenly asked as he interrupted his remarks about Myanmar’s transition from military rule. “Where is she?”

She caught his attention from the audience. “There she is,” he said to applause.

“I could not be more grateful,” he went on, “not only for your service, Hillary, but also for the powerful message that you and Aung San Suu Kyi send about the importance of women — and men — everywhere embracing and promoting democratic values and human rights.”

Mrs. Clinton, as is her style, has kept publicly quiet during the trip, leaving the president the stage while she has largely remained behind the scenes or in the audience. When the two arrived at Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi’s house, she hung back while Mr. Obama emerged from the limousine to be greeted.

And yet at times, her deeper experience in remote places around the world like this is palpable. After Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi shook Mr. Obama’s hand and began to draw him inside the house, she abruptly stopped as if remembering, turned around to look for Mrs. Clinton and then rushed over to give her a warm embrace. While Mrs. Clinton was seen as an old friend, Mr. Obama later appeared to mispronounce Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi’s name; she flinched but later hugged him.

Likewise, when Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton paid a courtesy call on the hospitalized King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, the secretary held back while the president advanced. “Your Majesty,” Mr. Obama said as he grasped the king’s hand. “It’s a great honor.”

Only then did Mrs. Clinton approach, but again with much greater familiarity. “Hello again,” she said. “It’s so good to see you again. And my husband sends you his very best regards.”

The king handed Mr. Obama some gifts, including a red box. “This is beautiful,” the president responded looking at something inside that could not be seen by reporters. “Thank you so much. This is lovely.”

An American woman next to Mrs. Clinton indicated that the gift was for Michelle Obama.

“Oh, thank you,” Mr. Obama said. “Michelle, my wife,” would “appreciate it.”

“She’ll look very good in that color, Mr. President,” Mrs. Clinton offered.

Thick in the air, if largely unspoken, was the question of Mrs. Clinton’s future. When the president and secretary went to the Wat Pho Royal Monastery in Bangkok to look at the famed Reclining Buddha, a monk told Mr. Obama that the statue was a symbol of success and would bring him a third term were he allowed to run. The Thai newspaper The Nation reported that the president pointed to Mrs. Clinton and said she would be the next president. Aides to both denied that, suggesting that the monk, not the president, may have forecast Mrs. Clinton’s future.

Either way, as the end drew near, the past and future were on the minds of both. Mr. Obama took Mrs. Clinton and her entourage to lunch at the United States Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, on Monday to thank them for their work.

Then during the Air Force One flight to Phnom Penh that night, an official said, the two huddled alone for an hour, reminiscing about the last four years — and talking about what the next may bring.

Mitt and Ann Romney – glowing dismay!

I take no joy in creating this photo because in life, be it sport, politics, two people applying for the same job or just about anything in that category, “one has to lose for the other to win.” And despite that reality, I always feel sad for the party that loses.

Mitt Romney is sort of a special case because he lied constantly; changed positions on just about everything; rude and obnoxious and his wife, always pontificating that because they are rich, somehow they are better than the people who are not!

But, despite that fact I have never and to this minute, harbor any animosity for Mitt and Ann Romney, but there wasn’t anything they could have said or done that would have caused me to agree with them, and as we have come to realize, so did the majority of Americans who voted for an Obama Second Term.

However, “a picture speaks a thousand words,” and in both of the photos, the one on the right taken during the early evening hours of November 6, 2012, when Mitt and Ann were believing beyond any doubt; Fox News, Karl Rove, Dick Morris and their own twisted in-house polling that they were going to win, you can see for a brief moment what we would have to endure.

Then moments past 11:30PM when NBC called Obama’s second term victory, the photo to the left interjects the demeanors on both of their faces, permeating just how sad and down trodden they must have felt.

Then on Wednesday (November 14th 2012) Mitt Romney on a conference call with his large financial backers attempting to justify why he lost the election, he again blamed the American people, claiming that President Obama promised them so much and that was the reason why they went out and voted for Obama, essentially calling sixty two million people moochers!

Thus for me, this was the last straw; I am happy that Mitt Romney would never run for any Public Office again, saving me and millions of people, the agony of listening to the biggest liar; shyster; hypocritical and dishonest person, that has ever sought the Office of the President, thus far.

(I was a supporter and worked on helping to reelect President Obama for a second term and I know in my heart, Obama will serve “all Americans,” irrespective of whether or not they voted for him.)

Two angry, old, white Senators threatened an African American Woman!

Posted in Condoleeza Rice - Liar, Current events, Double-Standard, Dr. Susan Rice, Equality, Fox News, George W. Bush, Hate, Hypocrisy, Libya, Lindsay Graham, Politics, President Obama, Racism, Religion, Republicans, Right Wing Extremists, Senator John McCain, UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Women's Rights with tags , , , on November 16, 2012 by sheriffali

Two angry, old, white Senators, John McCain and Lindsay Graham, threatened to block the confirmation of an African American Woman, Dr. Susan Rice, if she is nominated by President Obama to become the next Secretary of State! Dr. Rice is presently, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations!

For John McCain, this is not about racism but it is about his loss in the 2008 Presidential Election and, Mitt Romney’s loss in the 2012 Election, for which Senator McCain was a major supporter of Mitt Romney.

As for Senator Graham I can’t say one way or the other about his stance on race, but he is one pissed off White Man!

Both McCain and Graham in a joint news statement on November 14th 2012 said that Dr. Rice is at fault for the attack in Libya that killed four Americans. They also said she does not have the morale standing or the status to be Secretary of State because of the Libya matter.

However, it is highly hypocritical of Senator McCain in this regard. In 2005 when George W. Bush nominated Condoleezza Rice to be Secretary of State, John McCain threw his full support behind her, exclaiming that she had the honesty and integrity to serve as Secretary of State.

John McCain’s support remained steadfast for Condoleezza Rice despite the fact (not hyperbole) that Ms. Rice had lied to the American people about not having any knowledge about Osama Bin Laden’s threats to use Air Planes as lethal weapons inside of the United States. Ms. Rice also lied to the American people on several more occasions in 2002, when she advised President Bush to invade Iraq over “weapons of mass destruction.”

On Thursday night when pressed by the media over McCain’s doubled standard, he claimed “that people have a right to disagree with him, but he will stand in opposition of Dr. Susan Rice’s nomination.”

Listening to both Senators McCain and Graham, I can’t help but believe that these two Senators opposition really hasn’t anything to do with the qualified Dr. Susan Rice, but rather, McCain and Graham’s anger over Barack Obama being President.

And if this be true, then this is really sad for our country!
