Republicans Run Red-States Are The Poorest In The Nation; Least Educated; Anarchist Mentality All Free From The Deceptive Courtesy Of The Deceptive Republican Politicians, Feeding The Uninformed, Ignorant And Brainwashed, Seditiousness That Has Created A Criminal Mentality That Is The Root Cause Of The Blatant Gun Violence Killing Children, Women And Men At The Rate Of 40 Per Day.

Republicans are in such a disarray that rather than pass Job Bills, Infrastructure, Education or anything Domestic that would help the American People, they are hell-bent on promoting Anarchy by total and complete misuse of the Second Amendment promulgating seditiousness that is inducing Criminal Minded Anarchists, the kind that killed the two “Innocent Public Servants in Las Vegas – Police Officers.”

The Republican Party and their followers that are big on mouth about Christianity, Patriots and Country, they are sure bankrupt of Christ; Patriotism and really do not care about what happens to America, so long as the GOP Politicians hold on to their seats in Congress; the Governor’s Mansions and aspire to recapture the White House in 2016.

America belong to the People, not a handful of deceptive Politicians and unless and until the American People see each other as Americans first and Party Second, Politicians will wreck America and turn it into a Banana Republic. To the Gun Whores; Guns don’t educate or feed your children and help them out of misery to a better life, the GOP is picking not only your Pockets, but wake up, they have picked your brain.

On The Legal Front Lines Of Same Sex Marriage “Redeeming The Dream” By David Boise And Theodore B. Olson

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 29, 2014 by sheriffali

For more than four years a group of prominent lawyers led by Theodore B. Olson and David Boies, along with political consultants and Hollywood celebrities, campaigned against Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriages approved by California voters in 2008. The group, the American Foundation for Equal Rights, had two primary goals: to secure a judicial victory in the Supreme Court extending marriage to gay couples nationwide and to increase support for the cause through a public-relations blitz.

A year after the Supreme Court sidestepped the first part of that quest in Hollingsworth v. Perry, the publicity campaign to shape the cultural and legal memory of their effort continues. Theatrical, film and newspaper accounts by insiders and others given extraordinary access have chronicled the litigation. Most notably, the recently published “Forcing the Spring: Inside the Fight for Marriage Equality,” by Jo Becker, an investigative reporter for The New York Times, angered longtime gay-marriage advocates for depicting the movement as having “languished in obscurity” until the Perry litigation rescued it.

The latest triumphal installment comes from Mr. Olson and Mr. Boies, in “Redeeming the Dream: The Case for Marriage Equality.” This self-described “odd couple”— Mr. Olson is a Republican, Mr. Boies is a liberal Democrat — were legal adversaries in the contested 2000 presidential election, Bush v. Gore, before teaming up to challenge the constitutionality of Proposition 8.

More dual memoir than history book, “Redeeming the Dream” takes us through the legal proceedings, dutifully summarizing briefs, oral arguments and decisions. It is padded with redundancies, digressions and trivia, lacks footnotes and offers few substantive revelations about the case.

But the book’s faults are deeper still. The authors assert that the Perry decision “gave us, and the country, a victory that would echo throughout history.” They maintain that the publicity their case generated “contributed in a material way” to a “sweeping change in public opinion.” Simply put, Mr. Olson proclaims, “We have changed the world.” [NYT]

Republicans and Religion are one and the same; “Picking The Pockets Of The Middle-Class And The Poor Republicans.”

GOP misusing the Law does it for the money and to maintain their base; Religion misusing Fear does it for the money and to pretend they are connected to God!

“It is easier to fool someone than to convince them that they are being fooled.” Since retaking control of the House of Representatives in 2010, be honest with yourself, Republicans haven’t done anything in the House or the Senate to help The American People, whether or not you are Republican or Democrat.

If President Obama had listened to the Republicans, American Soldiers would be fighting in Ukraine from the War the Republicans were promulgating; and our Soldiers would have been entangled in the midst of Civil and Religious Wars in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Sudan, and perhaps a dozen more countries.

Republicans have blocked in both the Senate and the House every piece of legislation to fund “Domestic” programs, but have and are willing to vote for any and all things having to do with War. The GOP have denied extending Unemployment Insurance that our Returning Veterans depend on; they have blocked the 21 Billion Veterans Bill; They have slashed and complain every day about Food Stamps for which the Veterans depend on to supplement their income, but, Republicans want to send Americans to War and create more Veterans when they refuse to take care of the 23 million Veterans we have at present.

From Kenneth Copeland to Benny Hinn, Paula White and others with their “Mega-Churches,” they have been embroiled from one scandal to another; they live high off the Collection-Plate while the Poor keeps on giving whatever little they have. The Poor gives because from the Pulpit the Preachers says; “If you don’t have is because you don’t give,” and naïve hardworking, struggling people, take whatever little they have and toss it into the Lion’s plate where it is devoured by those men and women calling themselves men and women of God. I am no Atheist, but I do know that “God has never been and will never be a Religion.”

Every Religion was founded by fallible men and are used by fallible people to satisfy their avarice for Mammon and Power! Just take a good look at the Republican Politicians that are always espousing Religion and Country and then, look at their deeds; they are Christians bankrupt of Christ and Patriots bankrupt of Patriotism.

Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife was the trigger mechanism for World War 1, June 28, 1914

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 28, 2014 by sheriffali

The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on June 28, 1914 by a Serbian Nationalist was the trigger mechanism for World War 1; today 100 years later, men have continued to use their out of control aggression to “Butcher” each other with no end in sight to this madness.

“In an event that is widely acknowledged to have sparked the outbreak of World War I, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, nephew of Emperor Franz Josef and heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, is shot to death along with his wife by a Serbian nationalist in Sarajevo, Bosnia, on this day in 1914.

The great Prussian statesman Otto von Bismarck, the man most responsible for the unification of Germany in 1871, was quoted as saying at the end of his life that “One day the great European War will come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans.” It went as he predicted.

The archduke traveled to Sarajevo in June 1914 to inspect the imperial armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, former Ottoman territories in the turbulent Balkan region that were annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908 to the indignation of Serbian nationalists, who believed they should become part of the newly independent and ambitious Serbian nation. The date scheduled for his visit, June 28, coincided with the anniversary of the First Battle of Kosovo in 1389, in which medieval Serbia was defeated by the Turks. Despite the fact that Serbia did not truly lose its independence until the Second Battle of Kosovo in 1448, June 28 was a day of great significance to Serbian nationalists, and one on which they could be expected to take exception to a demonstration of Austrian imperial strength in Bosnia.

June 28 was also Franz Ferdinand’s wedding anniversary. His beloved wife, Sophie, a former lady-in-waiting, was denied royal status in Austria due to her birth as a poor Czech aristocrat, as were the couple’s children. In Bosnia, however, due to its limbo status as an annexed territory, Sophie could appear beside him at official proceedings. On June 28, 1914, then, Franz Ferdinand and Sophie were touring Sarajevo in an open car, with surprisingly little security, when Serbian nationalist Nedjelko Cabrinovic threw a bomb at their car; it rolled off the back of the vehicle and wounded an officer and some bystanders. Later that day, on the way to visit the injured officer, the archduke’s procession took a wrong turn at the junction of Appel quay and Franzjosefstrasse, where one of Cabrinovic’s cohorts, 19-year-old Gavrilo Princip, happened to be loitering.

Seeing his opportunity, Princip fired into the car, shooting Franz Ferdinand and Sophie at point-blank range. Princip then turned the gun on himself, but was prevented from shooting it by a bystander who threw himself upon the young assassin. A mob of angry onlookers attacked Princip, who fought back and was subsequently wrestled away by the police. Meanwhile, Franz Ferdinand and Sophie lay fatally wounded in their limousine as it rushed to seek help; they both died within the hour.

The assassination of Franz-Ferdinand and Sophie set off a rapid chain of events: Austria-Hungary, like many in countries around the world, blamed the Serbian government for the attack and hoped to use the incident as justification for settling the question of Slav nationalism once and for all. As Russia supported Serbia, an Austro-Hungarian declaration of war was delayed until its leaders received assurances from German leader Kaiser Wilhelm that Germany would support their cause in the event of a Russian intervention–which would likely involve Russia’s ally, France, and possibly Britain as well. On July 28, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and the tenuous peace between Europe’s great powers collapsed. Within a week, Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia had lined up against Austria-Hungary and Germany, and World War I had begun.” []

The US Supreme Court says A 150 year rule used by previous Presidents is not allowed for use by President Obama. Is it the Law or is it Mr. Obama’s 50% African American Blood?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 27, 2014 by sheriffali

President Obama has used far fewer Recess Appointments, only 29 as compared to George W Bush’s 171; Bill Clinton’s 139, George W.H. Bush 77 and the Republican Greek god Ronald Reagan’s 243 times.

The Republicans and their Right-Wing Trolls are going to complain about the race card being used, however, the truth of the matter is that whatever President Obama does it is deemed a Violation one way or the other. None of these escapades transpired when 100% White Presidents was using the 150 year rule, but since becoming President, “race has been used against Obama Front and Center.”

“When one branch of government routinely abuses its constitutional power in order to prevent another from functioning, the Supreme Court is expected to take notice and stop the abuse. Unfortunately the court failed to do so on Thursday in an important balance-of-power case, raising the prospect that President Obama and his successors could have trouble making necessary appointments to executive posts as the nation’s politics become more sharply

The court invalidated a series of appointments Mr. Obama made to the National Labor Relations Board in 2012, at a time when Republicans were blocking all nominations to the board, regardless of merit, to prevent pro-union decisions. Mr. Obama had erred, the court said, by declaring the Senate in recess at a time when it was holding short pro forma sessions every three days when nearly all members were on vacation and no real business was being transacted. Though Article 2 of the Constitution gives the president power to make recess appointments, the unanimous opinion of the court was that these pro forma sessions did not constitute a recess because “the Senate is in session when it says it is,” as long as it is capable of conducting business.

This view is willfully blind to the real purpose of the pro forma sessions, which were held solely to thwart the president from making recess appointments. No real legislating can take place when virtually all members are out of town — as the Senate’s official website says, “no business is conducted at these sessions.” The fact that during one session the presiding officer rubber-stamped a payroll tax deal that had been reached the week before — cited by the court as proof of real business — doesn’t change what everyone in Washington knew was really going on.

The opinion, written by Justice Stephen Breyer, did at least preserve the theoretical right of presidents to make recess appointments at any time when Congress is closed for more than 10 days. In so doing, it reversed the bizarre prescription of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit that such appointments can only be made between sessions of Congress, and then only when vacancies occur during that limited recess. An expansive interpretation of recesses has prevailed since the beginning of the republic, Justice Breyer wrote, showing a regard for history not shared by Justice Antonin Scalia and three of his conservative colleagues, who wrote a concurring opinion that supported the circuit court’s ruling.” [NYT]

Republicans “racism” against President Obama has reached fever pitch in planned Lawsuit!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 26, 2014 by sheriffali

Rather than do their jobs, John Boehner and his Republican Colleagues is planning to sue President Obama for doing his Job. The GOP openly “racism” against the President is self evident how farther yet we must travel to end discrimination in America.

“WASHINGTON — Speaker John A. Boehner announced Wednesday that he would introduce legislation next month allowing the House to sue President Obama over his use of executive actions.

In a letter to lawmakers, Mr. Boehner expressed concern with what he — and many in the Republican conference — considered the president’s unconstitutional overreach.

“The Constitution makes it clear that a president’s job is to faithfully execute the laws; in my view, the president has not faithfully executed the laws,” Mr. Boehner told reporters. “And when there’s conflicts like this between the legislative branch and the administrative branch it’s, in my view, our responsibility to stand up for this institution in which we serve.”

Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the Democratic leader, called Mr. Boehner’s move “subterfuge,” and Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary, said that “it seems that Republicans have shifted their opposition into a higher gear.”

Mr. Boehner said the bill would allow the House to file suit through the House general counsel and at the direction of the chamber’s Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group. In 2011, Mr. Boehner convened the group after the White House decided it would stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevented same-sex couples who were married under their state’s laws from receiving federal marriage benefits. The House eventually spent $2.3 million defending that law, but the Supreme Court struck it down as unconstitutional last year.

The president has used his executive authority to carry out key elements of his second-term agenda, like halting the deportation of young illegal immigrants brought to the country by their parents as children, raising the minimum wage for employees of federal contractors, and allowing the Environmental Protection Agency to curb carbon emissions from coal plants.

Mr. Boehner said the lawsuit would not be a prelude to impeachment proceedings, and was not an attempt to rally the Republican base before the midterm elections.” [NYT]

Evil Knows No Bounds, Draft Dogger Cheney Doubles Down!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 25, 2014 by sheriffali

Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Tuesday stood by the Bush Administration’s decision to wage war in Iraq, saying he has never second-guessed the decision even with Iraq once again descending into chaos.

“I was a strong advocate of going into Iraq,” Cheney told PBS in an interview, a week after launching a new political group designed to boost his foreign policy and national-security policies. “I think that was the right decision then, and I still believe that today.”

“I think we did what we had to do,” Cheney added, saying he is still not convinced Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction before the 2003 invasion. “And you don’t get to go back and say, well, we would have — what if we’d ignored all the intelligence?”

Cheney blasted President Barack Obama’s handling of the situation in Iraq, saying he should have more forcefully pushed to keep U.S. troops in the country after 2011 to help keep the country stable. “For me, the bottom line was, when we left office, Iraq was in good shape,” Cheney said. “And now we’re in a situation where obviously we’ve got another big problem.”

But the former Vice President largely agreed with Obama’s handling of the current crisis that has seen the extremist group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria make significant gains in the country. Cheney called for the deployment of additional U.S. military advisers and a swift transition for the Iraqi government, and he warned that American air strikes could have unintended complications. Cheney said the U.S. response to the Iraq crisis must be part of a broader strategy for the volatile region that he says Obama has not yet developed. He also called on Obama to halt the planned withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2016.

“I would stop talking about withdrawing from Afghanistan,” Cheney said. “We ought to stay in Afghanistan. We shouldn’t be scaling back.” [Time]

Do most Americans have a clue about the reality of Iraq? Or is their reality Cable News and the Despots that find themselves on Television, like Cheney!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 25, 2014 by sheriffali

The Media’s obsession with Polls like they did in 2003; 80% of Americans had favored Bush invading Iraq. Now, 59% of Americans disagree with Obama’s Iraq Policy. We saw this picture before when it comes to Iraq.

President Obama is no weakling but neither is he a fool. As the President said, “No amount of fire power can fix what is wrong with Iraq.”

Does most American have a clue about the reality of Iraq? Or, is their reality Cable News and the “Despots” like Cheney and Bush’s Cronies that got us into Iraq!

If you listen to the Bush Gang that actually “broke” Iraq by invading it and opened a door for more killings than Saddam Hussein regime did, they lie without any thought for the truth and it seems self evident that they are counting on the stupidity of many Americans, who doesn’t seem to have a clue about facts.

When the Russian/Ukraine problem came up, 88% of Americans hadn’t a clue where Ukraine was located. Some 33% thought that Ukraine was a city within one of our own 50 States. Others thought Ukraine was in South America. It is actually sad to see how dumb we have become, irrespective of all of the opportunities and tools available to help educate us.

I would take a wager that most Americans have no idea about Shiites and Sunnis and why they have been killing each other for thousands of years. The same 80% that favored Bush invading Iraq, they turned on him as soon as his “Mission Accomplish” turned out to be a farce.

I do believe that President Obama is a wise and thoughtful man and his reluctance about Iraq at the moment, has to do with the Prime Minister, Nour al-Maliki that was installed by Bush. I also do not believe that Obama is going to re-invade Iraq. He would help Diplomatically and with advisers, but this is a President who isn’t going to send your sons and daughters to get killed and maimed, for other people’s religious wars.

Some Americans are dumber than they would admit. A great part of that stupidity is the feckless Media!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 24, 2014 by sheriffali

Some Whites in both parties are dissatisfied with President Obama on just about everything.

80% favored Bush invading Iraq and we have witnessed and continue to witness that tragedy. Americans don’t want another invasion of Iraq or war, but criticize Obama for not sending America Sons and Daughters to die in Iraq’s Religious Madness. You can’t have it both ways. He pulled out our troops that were being slaughtered and is ending the war in Afghanistan, just what the hell you want from the man!

Bush and Cheney decimated America’s Foreign Policy and left Office after turning the world upside down, but, somehow Obama gets the blame. Considering where we were in 2008, a broken and bankrupt country with two out of control wars; millions lost their homes; Dow down to under 7,500; millions out of work; banks crashing at the rate of 150 per month; deficit of over one trillion dollars and our total financial situation at stake, and now;

Comparing back then to where we are today, if President Obama was 100% White instead of just 50%, he would have been hailed as America’s greatest hero. But, it doesn’t matter if Obama cures Cancer, some Whites in both the Republican and Democratic Party and their White base, would never give Obama credit, irrespective of the fact, that Obama saved our ASSES!

[New York Times]

“Dissatisfaction with President Obama’s conduct of foreign policy has shot up among both Republicans and Democrats in the past month, even though a slim majority supports his recent decision to send military advisers to Iraq to confront the growing threat from militants there, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

The survey suggests that most Americans back some of Mr. Obama’s approaches to the crisis in Iraq, including majority support for the possibility of drone strikes. But the poll documents an increasing lack of faith in the president and his leadership, and shows deep concern that further intervention by the United States in Iraq could lead to another long and costly involvement there.

The poll found that 58 percent of Americans disapprove of the way Mr. Obama is handling foreign policy, a jump of 10 points in the last month to the highest level since Mr. Obama took office in 2009. The spike in disapproval is especially striking among Democrats, nearly a third of whom said they did not approve of his handling of foreign Policy.

Fifty-two percent of Americans say they disapprove of how the president is dealing with the current violence in Iraq (including about a third of Democrats); 37 percent approve.

“I voted for him because he said, ‘Give me four more years and I will fix everything,’ but nothing is being fixed,” Michelle Roberts, 34, a Democrat from Salem, Mass., said in a follow-up interview. “I understand he wants to fight terrorism, but send in robots, drones. Don’t send in our troops. Our men and women are dying for what?”

The erosion in support across both parties has contributed to a drop in Mr. Obama’s overall rating that threatens to undermine his administration’s political ambitions during the remaining two and a half years of his second term. The president’s approval rating is now at 40 percent, while 54 percent say they disapprove of the job he is doing in office, a six-point jump since May.

Despite the unhappiness about Mr. Obama’s leadership, 51 percent of those surveyed, including Republicans, Democrats and independents, said they supported his recent decision to send 300 military advisers to Iraq. Fifty-six percent said they supported the use of drones in Iraq, a military option that Mr. Obama’s advisers have said is still on the table as the militants, known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, have extended gains across the northern parts of the country.

A little over half of Americans also favor the idea of working with Iran in a limited capacity to try to resolve the situation in Iraq. Iran’s Shiite leaders support the Shiite-led government in Baghdad, but Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has publicly opposed efforts by the United States to help Iraq’s government fight back against Islamic extremists and Sunni militants.”

Obama Hits Back Against GOP Warmongers: No Amount of US Firepower Can Hold Iraq Together

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on June 23, 2014 by sheriffali

On CNN’s New Day, President Obama made his strongest statement yet against Republicans who are calling for ground troops in Iraq. The president said, “There’s no amount of American firepower that’s going to be able to hold the country together.”

BARACK OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: We gave Iraq the chance to have an inclusive democracy, to work across sectarian lines, to provide a better future for their children. And, unfortunately, what we’ve seen is a breakdown of trust. There’s no doubt that there has been a suspicion for quite some time now among Sunnis that they have no access to using the political process to deal with their grievances.

So, part of the task now is to see whether Iraqi leaders are prepared to rise above sectarian motivations, to come together and compromise. If they can’t, there’s not going to be a military solution to this problem. You know, there’s no amount of American firepower that’s going to be able to hold the country together. I made that very clear to Mr. Maliki and all the other leadership inside of Iraq.

BOLDUAN: But by going into the country, to support this Iraqi government, to support Iraqi forces now, there’s a real risk that you will very likely be seen as supporting the Shiite side. Isn’t that inflaming the tension further and thus doing exactly what ISIS wants?

OBAMA: Yes, actually not, because the terms in which we’re willing to go in as advisers initially is to do an assessment of, do they still have a functioning chain of command, and is their military still capable? But what we’ve also said is that if we don’t see Sunni, Shiite and Kurd representation in the military command structure, if we don’t see Sunni, Shiite and Kurd political support for what we’re doing, then we won’t do it.

BOLDUAN: Finally, do you really believe in your gut that this change can happen, that they can unify in Iraq?

OBAMA: I think we’ll know from soon enough. They don’t have a lot of time. There’s a timetable that is in place under their constitution. The good news is that so far at least all the parties have said that we want to abide by the constitution.

So, they had the chance, but, you know, ultimately what I think the vast majority of Americans understand is that we can’t do it for them, and we certainly can’t redeploy tens of thousands of U.S. troops to try to keep a lid on a problem if the people themselves don’t want to solve it.

President Obama is correct. The United States gave Iraq more than a fair chance and literally trillions of dollars in support. The problem has always been twofold. The ability of the Iraqi government overcome sectarian differences and unify the country, and the willingness of the Iraqis themselves to fight for their government.

What Dick Cheney, John McCain, Marco Rubio and other Republicans are either openly advocating, or hinting at is a bigger US role in Iraq. Some Republicans are seeking to exploit the ISIS problem in Iraq, in the same way, that they used 9/11 as a reason for the initial invasion of Iraq. Counter terrorism can’t be used as an excuse for propping up the Iraqi government. The intentional confusion of the two goals is what got the United States into Iraq in the first place.

The US will do their part, but at some point the Iraqis must display a willingness to fight for their own government. If the Iraqi people aren’t willing to fight to keep their government, the United States can’t do it for them. For people like Dick Cheney, sending more combat troops to Iraq isn’t about helping the Iraqi people. Cheney is only concerned about protecting his legacy. If the Bush installed government falls in Iraq, it will be the final crushing blow to the Bush legacy of failure.

President Obama is making sure that this nation doesn’t again go down the path of failure blazed by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
