The Upshot’s elections model suggests that Hillary Clinton is favored to win the presidency, based on the latest State and National Polls. A victory by Mr. Trump remains possible: Mrs. Clinton’s chance of losing is about the same as the probability that an N.F.L Kicker misses a 30-yard field goal.

From now until Election Day, we’ll update our estimates with each new poll, as well as collect the ratings of other news organizations. You can chart different paths to victory below. Here’s how our estimates have changed over time:

Support and Vote Hillary Clinton for President and Vote to Elect a Democratic Controlled House and Senate to keep America moving forward, as Hillary Clinton continues Obama’s Legacy, Polices and build on Obama’s achievements.

President Obama saved America from the Republicans Disaster – George W Bush, Dick Cheney and a Do Nothing Republican Congress!

Hillary Clinton Isn’t The Lesser Of Two Evils. She Is One Of The Most Experienced Candidates In History. [Los Angeles Time]

[Los Angeles Times] “Greetings and salutations from Matthew Fleisher, digital editor of The Times Opinion section, here. We’ve got 44 days left until the most nerve-racking election in our nation’s history. Take a deep breath and relax while you still can.

It’s not exactly controversial to argue that Donald Trump is unfit to be president — and that, should he win in November, the country could plunge into an economic and moral abyss that would be difficult to recover from.

Yet while the conventional wisdom acknowledges that Hillary Clinton must become the next president for the good of the nation, there aren’t too many folks who seem to be especially happy about it.

Is America really just holding its collective nose and choosing the lesser of two evils by voting for Clinton?

The Times editorial board puts that notion t0 rest with a full-throated endorsement of the Democratic candidate.

Some voters who do not like Trump worry that Clinton, too, has serious shortcomings. And of course she does; all politicians do. She has a penchant for secrecy that has caused her significant problems, not least in the investigation of her ill-advised decision to use a private email server for her official communications as secretary of State. It is true that her family foundation took millions of dollars from foreign leaders and overseas business people while she was in Obama’s Cabinet, creating the potential for conflicts of interest. She and her husband have spent years among the rich and powerful and have grown at home in that favor-trading world in a way that makes many voters uneasy. This page has criticized her in the past for adjusting her positions to match popular opinion and for being a little too comfortable with the use of military force. And at least on the hustling, she lacks the authentic, let’s-have-a-beer personality that many voters seek in a candidate.

To be a great president, she will have to struggle to overcome her own weaknesses. But compared with Trump’s infirmities as a candidate, her failings are insignificant. It’s absurd — and perilous — to portray this election, as so many are doing, as a choice of the “lesser of two evils” or to suggest that her flaws are in any way on a level with his.

Neither Libertarian Gary Johnson nor Green Party candidate Jill Stein offers a serious alternative to the major-party candidates. Even voters who have questions about Clinton must recognize that neither Stein nor Johnson stands a chance of winning — and that a vote for either is merely one less vote for the only candidate who can defeat Trump. Besides, neither is a better candidate than Clinton; both were interviewed at length by The Times editorial board, and despite certain superficial appeal, neither comes close to matching Clinton’s qualifications, expertise or understanding of the political process.

The election of Hillary Clinton as the first female president of the United States would surely be as exhilarating as it is long overdue, a watershed moment in American history after centuries of discrimination against women. But that’s not the chief reason to vote for her. She deserves America’s support because she is the overwhelmingly better candidate. Against a Romney or a McCain, she would almost certainly be our choice. Against Trump? The question answers itself.

If Clinton does lose, we’ll have mealy-mouthed equivocations of the press to thank. At least according to Harvard professor and Times op-ed contributor Thomas Patterson, whose analysis of election media coverage found that two-thirds of stories written about Clinton are negative in tone, while almost completely ignoring the substance of her policy positions. In fact, Trump has been quoted more often about Clinton’s policies than she has.

Presidential politics aside, Californians have a giant decision on their hands about whether to legalize and regulate marijuana, by passing Proposition 64. The Times editorial board argues for a yes vote, because the reality is that California has already, essentially, legalized marijuana.

Just because marijuana should probably be legal doesn’t mean it can’t have deleterious effects on developing brains. How do you talk to your kids about marijuana, legal or otherwise, without delving into hyperbole, or diminishing the true dangers?

Worried about scarring your kids with your potty mouth (possibly while discussing marijuana)? Well, don’t. While homophobic and racial slurs can cause anxiety and depression in kids, there’s no scientific proof that exposure to your typical four-letter words causes any sort of direct harm.

Is it OK to sleep next to your newborn baby? In a piece that drew its share of impassioned critiques  from the medical establishment, op-ed contributors Robert LeVine and Sarah LeVine argue, yes, it can even be beneficial.

On Sunday, after 60 years, legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully will call his final game. On her podcast, Patt Morrison speaks with Roz Wyman, the woman who fought to bring Scully and the Dodgers to L.A. all those decades ago.”

Support and Vote Hillary Clinton for President and Vote for a Democratic Controlled House and Senate.

Federal Appeals Court Judges for the D.C. Circuit forgot about the 13th Amendment!

In ruling against President Obama’s “recess appointments” that contradicts 150 years of practice by Republican and Democratic Administrations; Federal Circuit Court Judges; David B. Sentelle, Karen LeCraft Henderson and Thomas B. Griffith must have missed;

Abraham Lincoln’s 13th Amendment to the Constitution!

But why should we be surprised?

Frederick Douglass gave us the answer on September 25 1883, as to why Republican Legislators would be so unrelenting on President Obama!

“Though the colored man is no longer subject to barter and sale, he is surrounded by an adverse settlement which fetters all his movements. In his downward course he meets with no resistance, but his course upward is resented and resisted at every step of his progress.

If he comes in ignorance, rags and wretchedness he conforms to the popular belief of his character, and in that character he is welcome; but if he shall come as a gentleman, a scholar and a statesman, he is hailed as a contradiction to the national faith concerning his race, and his coming is resented as impudence.” [Frederick Douglass, September 25 1883]

Mitt and Ann Romney – glowing dismay!

I take no joy in creating this photo because in life, be it sport, politics, two people applying for the same job or just about anything in that category, “one has to lose for the other to win.” And despite that reality, I always feel sad for the party that loses.

Mitt Romney is sort of a special case because he lied constantly; changed positions on just about everything; rude and obnoxious and his wife, always pontificating that because they are rich, somehow they are better than the people who are not!

But, despite that fact I have never and to this minute, harbor any animosity for Mitt and Ann Romney, but there wasn’t anything they could have said or done that would have caused me to agree with them, and as we have come to realize, so did the majority of Americans who voted for an Obama Second Term.

However, “a picture speaks a thousand words,” and in both of the photos, the one on the right taken during the early evening hours of November 6, 2012, when Mitt and Ann were believing beyond any doubt; Fox News, Karl Rove, Dick Morris and their own twisted in-house polling that they were going to win, you can see for a brief moment what we would have to endure.

Then moments past 11:30PM when NBC called Obama’s second term victory, the photo to the left interjects the demeanors on both of their faces, permeating just how sad and down trodden they must have felt.

Then on Wednesday (November 14th 2012) Mitt Romney on a conference call with his large financial backers attempting to justify why he lost the election, he again blamed the American people, claiming that President Obama promised them so much and that was the reason why they went out and voted for Obama, essentially calling sixty two million people moochers!

Thus for me, this was the last straw; I am happy that Mitt Romney would never run for any Public Office again, saving me and millions of people, the agony of listening to the biggest liar; shyster; hypocritical and dishonest person, that has ever sought the Office of the President, thus far.

(I was a supporter and worked on helping to reelect President Obama for a second term and I know in my heart, Obama will serve “all Americans,” irrespective of whether or not they voted for him.)

Two angry, old, white Senators threatened an African American Woman!

Posted in Condoleeza Rice - Liar, Current events, Double-Standard, Dr. Susan Rice, Equality, Fox News, George W. Bush, Hate, Hypocrisy, Libya, Lindsay Graham, Politics, President Obama, Racism, Religion, Republicans, Right Wing Extremists, Senator John McCain, UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Women's Rights with tags , , , on November 16, 2012 by sheriffali

Two angry, old, white Senators, John McCain and Lindsay Graham, threatened to block the confirmation of an African American Woman, Dr. Susan Rice, if she is nominated by President Obama to become the next Secretary of State! Dr. Rice is presently, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations!

For John McCain, this is not about racism but it is about his loss in the 2008 Presidential Election and, Mitt Romney’s loss in the 2012 Election, for which Senator McCain was a major supporter of Mitt Romney.

As for Senator Graham I can’t say one way or the other about his stance on race, but he is one pissed off White Man!

Both McCain and Graham in a joint news statement on November 14th 2012 said that Dr. Rice is at fault for the attack in Libya that killed four Americans. They also said she does not have the morale standing or the status to be Secretary of State because of the Libya matter.

However, it is highly hypocritical of Senator McCain in this regard. In 2005 when George W. Bush nominated Condoleezza Rice to be Secretary of State, John McCain threw his full support behind her, exclaiming that she had the honesty and integrity to serve as Secretary of State.

John McCain’s support remained steadfast for Condoleezza Rice despite the fact (not hyperbole) that Ms. Rice had lied to the American people about not having any knowledge about Osama Bin Laden’s threats to use Air Planes as lethal weapons inside of the United States. Ms. Rice also lied to the American people on several more occasions in 2002, when she advised President Bush to invade Iraq over “weapons of mass destruction.”

On Thursday night when pressed by the media over McCain’s doubled standard, he claimed “that people have a right to disagree with him, but he will stand in opposition of Dr. Susan Rice’s nomination.”

Listening to both Senators McCain and Graham, I can’t help but believe that these two Senators opposition really hasn’t anything to do with the qualified Dr. Susan Rice, but rather, McCain and Graham’s anger over Barack Obama being President.

And if this be true, then this is really sad for our country!

The juxtaposition of Obama and Romney shed light on the antithesis of who really cares about America!

Mr. Optimist, President Obama, beat the crap out of the whining, Pontificating Pessimists, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and the GOP establishment!

The Republican paradox that giving more huge tax cuts that favors the richest two percent of Americans would somehow help the other ninety-eight percent; is incongruous.

We have the facts on our side to prove otherwise. Former President George W. Bush’s 2001 and 2003 trillion dollar tax cut for the rich still exists today and where has it gotten us? It didn’t create jobs during Bush’s Presidency and as a matter of fact we lost more than three million jobs during Bush’s Stewardship of the economy.

We are at the edge of the financial cliff and “we” must rectify by undoing the Republican’s “pledge” to the lobbyist Grover Norquist. Just imagine, Grover Norquist introduced this pledge in 1986 and it was sanctioned by then, former President Ronald Reagan. [The Republicans Greek god]

The pledge that has torpedoed progress for America’s Middle-Class!

Below is the verbatim of the pledge and I have filled it out using Paul Ryan’s name. Mitt Romney also signed the pledge.

“I, Paul Ryan, pledge to the taxpayers of the 1st District of the State of Wisconsin, and to the American people that I will:  ‘ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and TWO, oppose any net reduction of elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.”

This pledge is not for the greater good of 98% of the hard working American people, but it is about the Republicans using this pledge to sustain America’s 2% upper-class to become even richer!

Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh, Dick Morris and those that think like them; “are there no decency left in them?”

Logically, one would think that since against all odds, President Obama had a resounding victory and that the President Haters, would take a break in the interest of bringing the Country together! But, amazingly enough, Obama’s 2nd term victory buttressed the hatred from many on the extreme right.

Dick Morris on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning was running down the President’s victory as the worst in history. Of course when you take a look at Morris, you don’t have to guess, this guy is really eating some bad food! He is swollen!

Rush Limbaugh on the other hand has gone off the rail that he may have decided to delve into Oxycontin again. Let us hope not for his sake.

And of course Donald Trump, he started Tweeting Tuesday night and making statements that his hair-piece looks like it was in Chicago despite his body being in New York.

Also, let us not forget the lady that’s never stopped flying on her Alaska Broom. Sarah Palin got on Fox News and she was pining and expressing so much pain, perhaps she is going to need a strong laxative to find relief.

But, perhaps in the interest of what is best for our people and our country we should all heed the words of the wise minds of the past.

“There would be no place for hatred among wise men and women. For who but the foolish would hate good men and women. And there is no cause to hate bad men. Vice is a disease of the mind, just as feebleness show ill health to the body.” Boethius

Martin Luther [1483-1546] “These two sins, hatred and pride, deck and trim themselves out as the devil clothed himself in the Godhead. Hatred will be godlike; pride will be truth. These two are deadly sins: hatred is killing, pride is lying.”
