1. The first bill President Obama signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, to help women fight back when they don’t get equal pay for equal work.

2. His Recovery Act supported millions of jobs and helped to stave off a second Great Depression.

3. He pushed for and won middle-class tax cuts that benefitted every American worker, and saved the typical family $3,600 in taxes over the last four years.

4. President Obama rescued the auto industry, and now GM and Chrysler are healthier than they’ve ever been. The American auto industry has added nearly a quarter of a million jobs since June 2009 — and they most likely wouldn’t exist right now without President Obama’s leadership.

5. He doubled funding for Pell Grants, helping to make college more affordable for nearly 10 million families.

6. His student loan reform ended billions in subsidies to banks serving as middlemen and reinvested those savings directly into students.

7. The President established the American Opportunity Tax Credit, worth up to $10,000 over four years of college.

8. His Race to the Top Initiative helped spur nearly every state to raise academic standards.

9. His tax cuts, social-welfare programs, and economic policies lifted nearly 7 million Americans above the federal poverty line in 2010.

10. President Obama has signed 18 tax cuts for small businesses since taking office.

11. We’ve seen 5.2 million new private-sector jobs over the last 31 months.

12. The unemployment rate is at the lowest level since President Obama took office.

13. Health care reform — passed after decades of failed attempts by every previous President — provides affordable health coverage to every American and will lower premiums by an average of $2,000 per family by 2019.

14. Obamacare expanded access to lifesaving preventive care such as cancer screenings and immunizations with no out-of-pocket costs for 54 million Americans.

15. Obamacare ends insurance discrimination against the 129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions.

16. Because of Obamacare, over 3 million more young adults have health insurance today than would if the new law hadn’t passed.

17. The parents of over 17 million children with pre-existing conditions no longer have to worry that their children will be denied coverage.

18. President Obama has ordered the overhaul of federal government regulations to make them smarter, practical, and more efficient. Just a fraction of these commonsense initiatives will help save businesses $10 billion in the next five years alone.

19. His historic investments in clean energy have helped more than double the amount of electricity we obtain from wind and solar sources and helped increase biofuel production to its highest level in history.

20. President Obama is doubling fuel efficiency standards, which will save drivers more than $8,000 at the gas pump, not to mention lessen the impact of automobiles on our environment.

21. President Obama has taken unprecedented action to address climate change, reaching historic international agreements to curb carbon emissions, and taking action here at home to reduce carbon pollution from our vehicles and promote clean energy production.

22. He has taken historic action to protect our environment — signing one of the largest expansions of protected wilderness in a generation and putting in place standards to reduce toxic air pollution that will save thousands of lives.

23. President Obama fought for and won landmark Wall Street reform that reins in the abuses that led to the financial crisis and ends the era of taxpayer bailouts and “too big to fail.”

24. Wall Street reform created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the nation’s first federal agency focused solely on consumer financial protection — and the Bureau is already protecting families from unfair and abusive financial practices from Wall Street banks and shadowy corners of the financial industry.

25. As part of President Obama’s commitment to transparency, the White House has posted its visitor records online for the first time ever.

26. President Obama’s all-of-the-above approach to energy has helped cut the United States’ dependence on foreign oil to its lowest level in 20 years.

27. President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq.

28. He announced a plan to end the war in Afghanistan and transition security responsibility to the Afghan people.

29. President Obama sent the largest security assistance package to Israel in history and funded the Iron Dome system, which is protecting Israeli homes and schools from rocket attacks.

30. President Obama rallied the international community to implement the toughest sanctions on Iran in history.

31. Through the President’s historic increases in Veterans Affairs funding, he has expanded and improved healthcare and job training access for our returning veterans.

32. President Obama negotiated the New START Treaty with Russia to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in both countries. At the same time, he also secured commitments from dozens of other countries to lock down nuclear materials.

33. His administration naturalized 11,146 military service members as U.S. citizens in 2010; more than in any year since 1955.

34. President Obama set a bold new plan for the future of NASA space exploration, using the skill and ability of the private sector for short trips to the International Space Station, while building a new vehicle for exploration of distant space, and doing everything in his power to support the economy on Florida’s Space Coast.

35. President Obama recognizes that tourism is one of America’s largest economic engines; he’s worked to encourage international visitors to come here, maintaining our security while keeping millions of Americans in good, paying jobs.

36. He has affirmed his personal support of marriage equality, directed the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA in federal courts, and took the practical and compassionate step of extending hospital visitation rights to same-sex partners.

37. He fought for and won the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, allowing gay and lesbian members of the military to serve openly for the first time in history.

38. When Congress failed to fix our broken immigration system, his administration did everything in its power to improve it, streamlining the legal immigration process and announcing a policy that lifts the shadow of deportation from hard working young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

39. Oh, and he gave the order to send troops in after Osama Bin Laden — and have decimated al-Qaeda’s senior leadership.

Mitt Romney’s Candidacy For President Is A PONZI SCHEME Against The American People!

That would amount to Trillions of Dollars in Tax Cuts for Romney and his Rich Friends. If after Mitt Romney’s Twenty Years in the spotlight, you don’t know who and what Romney is; then you are truly uninformed or full of so much hate, that you would deny President Obama a second term and allow Mitt Romney to become President that is against not only your best interest, but that of your children and your children’s children and the generations to come.

Everything Mitt Romney stood for when he wanted Former Senator Ted Kennedy Senate Seat [1994] and when Romney ran for Governor of Massachusetts [2003], he became totally against it when he decided to run for President in 2007.

During the Republican Primaries in 2011 and 2012, Mitt Romney became an even greater extremist then Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, just to get the Nomination. And, now that he got the Republican Nomination he totally disavows just about everything he stood for over the past two years.

A vote for Mitt Romney for President is a vote against America and 98 percent of the American people. Perhaps, just perhaps, you should contemplate what you are about to do on November 6th 2012.

No other President was handed the mountain of problems as President Obama did when George W. Bush two terms ended.

Our financial structure was in danger!

Our credibility around the world was in danger from Bush’s go it alone Policy.

Job losses from September and each month thereafter were on the average 800,000.

Obama was handed two precarious wars; “not paid for.”

Two major tax cuts totally one trillion dollars, “not paid for.”

An annual deficit of almost a trillion dollars;

A National Debt of ten trillion four hundred billion dollars;

An Auto Industry that was almost dead;

An OSAMA BIN LADEN that was alive and raising hell!

Now, you take the above information and compare to where we are today and if you are still going to vote for Mitt Romney, then, I haven’t anything left to say to you.

Mitt Romney is just what America needs! Hide your money in Bermuda, Caymans and Switzerland; invest in China’s Oil Industry; hide you Tax Returns from the American people; change your positions as often as it takes in order to win; speak disparagingly about your fellow Americans as “free-loaders; deny what you have said if it is working against you [lie]; and don’t forget, form 137 entities in Bermuda to avoid paying Taxes in America and yes, blame the other guy for everything that ails America!

Polls prove that the first presidential debate upended the race.

Immediately after the debate, coverage focused on polls that moved in Romney’s direction. After all, a Gallup survey showed that 72 percent of debate watcherssaid Romney did a better job, the most lopsided debate readout Gallup has ever recorded.

But there is little evidence that the debate decisively moved the needle in key swing states. In six state surveys released Thursday by two well-regarded polling partnerships — NBC-Wall Street Journal-Marist and CBS-New York Times-Quinnipiac — there were virtually no shifts for either candidate compared with pre-debate polls.

Nationally, the debate effect may have quickly faded. In Washington Post-ABC News polling after last week’s face-off, voters had more positive reactions to Romney on the first two nights after the debate than on the next two. In Gallup tracking, the post-debate tally is nearly identical to what it was in the preceding days. And one new Florida poll shows momentum for Romney but another doesn’t.

The presidential race has long been characterized as tightly competitive and voters as overwhelmingly locked-in. The first debate seems to have done little to alter these basic, well-documented story lines.

The best polls are those that correctly predict an election’s outcome.

Getting elections “right” is a necessary but insufficient reason to put great stock in polls. Some surveys could be well-modeled — adjusted to previous elections or to hunches, including, some surmise, tweaks to agree with other polls. (Few pollsters relish being an outlier.)

Both the Republican-leaning Rasmussen Reports and the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling have track records that some view favorably, but both use automated phone calls with recorded voices to collect data (“Press 1 for Obama, 2 for Romney,” etc.), revealing a basic flaw: It’s against federal law to have computers dial cellphones, so most “robopolls” ignore about 30 percent of U.S. adults.

At a minimum, excluding cellphones means these polls are increasingly reliant on statistical weighting. They might make up for a lack of young people, for instance, by counting several times the answers from the few younger respondents. Peter Miller, a recent president of the American Association for Public Opinion Research, points out the root problem with weighting: “The more you rely on weights, the more you risk being wrong for reasons you don’t understand.”

It is always better to look at polls’ methodology, not just their results. What’s more, the “horse race” findings are often among the least important parts of a good poll. What issues motivate voters? And who is motivated to vote? These are more crucial to understanding an election than whether a candidate is up two, three or six percentage points.

Polls are skewed if they don’t interview equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans.

Political junkies quickly scan each poll release to see the “party ID split” — the proportions of self-identified Democrats, Republicans and independents in the sample. It makes sense: With party loyalty as strong as it is, the numbers of Democratic and Republican respondents in a survey make a huge difference. But to think, as many do, that there should be equal numbers from each party is off-base, particularly when looking at polls meant to assess the general population’s views.

Though voters seem split down the middle, there have generally been more Democrats than Republicans in the country since pollsters started tracking partisan allegiances after World War II. There is often more parity in election tallies, as Republicans tend to be more reliable voters than Democrats, but that also depends on the year.

Artificially evening out a poll’s partisan balance or arbitrarily setting it to match someone’s guess at turnout on Election Day may make one side a bit happier — but at the expense of distorting the current state of play.

News outlets are biased in presenting polls favorable toward President Obama.

Media-bashing is at a peak among conservatives, and some on the right routinely dismiss any poll showing Obama ahead of Romney. (And some on the left reflexively scorn polls in which Romney leads.) Before recent surveys turned in Romney’s direction, one conservative blogger went so far as to set up UnskewedPolls.com, a site offering “adjusted” public polls, tilted to favor Romney by manipulating the samples to be more Republican.

In truth, news organizations have only one bias — toward news.

Nothing demonstrates this better than the recent coverage of the Pew Research Center’s post debate-national poll, which showed big, across-the-board movements from Obama toward Romney. The Washington Post splashed the poll on its front page, and the survey provided days of fodder for cable news, illustrating that the media gravitate toward a competitive race, big shifts and conflict much more than one political party or the other.

Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Karl Rove, The Koch Brothers; do you think that they are on your side?

FACT NOT HYPERBOLE

If our memory is so short to forget the suffering former President George W. Bush and his party left us in, literally hanging over the Financial Cliff and can’t see that there isn’t one penny worth of difference between Mitt Romney and George W. Bush, then vote for Romney and watch him actually throw America off the cliff.

Fact, not hyperbole; Mitt Romney formed 137 (Shell) Companies in the Caymans for the sole purpose of avoiding taxes in order to enrich his own pocket. If Mr. Romney wanted to just chase money then there wouldn’t be a problem at all, but he wants to be President of the United States, a man who has bank accounts in Bermuda, Switzerland, made a major investment in China’s Oil Industry and who wouldn’t release more than two years of tax returns; a man who have been telling the American people I would give everyone a 20% tax reduction across the board that totals five trillion dollars; add two trillion dollars to the defense budget and keep Bush’s tax cut of one trillion dollars and that he would still balance the budget, how stupid are the people to believe such phantasmagoric rationales and internecine policies?

The uninformed Voters

Just imagine how shallow we have become in America! Obama had a lack-luster debate; Romney on the other hand lied and disavowed everything he stood for and the majority of Americans gave Romney the victory in the debate!

I wonder if America sees how unequivocally stupid we are viewed, especially when we continually try to tell the rest of the world about Democracy, Honesty, and in addition, criticize other world Leaders for duplicity!

What an exceptional example we are providing to our children – Lying is a virtue; believing in nothing and chasing money will help build their character. When you grow up hide your money in Bermuda, The Caymans and Switzerland, Invest in China, Vote to give more to the wealthy and your country would be better from the trickled down economics. O yes! We are doing a fine job. We ought to be sincerely ASHAMED!

The reason why the Polls are so extreme is not because of the Pollsters, but solely because the American people, not all but many, have no in-depth knowledge of how just how corrupt Politicians are, especially the Republicans.

The Republican brain drain!

By Richard Cohen, Published: September 24 Washington Post

In 1980 Ronald Reagan won the Republican nomination. He beat a future president, George H.W. Bush; two future Senate majority leaders, Howard Baker and Bob Dole; and two lesser-known congressmen. This year Mitt Romney won the GOP nomination. He beat a radio host, a disgraced former House speaker, a defeated Senate candidate, a former appointee of the Obama administration, a tongue-tied Texas governor, a prevaricating religious zealot who happens to serve in the House of Representatives and a cranky libertarian doctor. Where did all the talent go?

Until the Republican Party can answer this question, it makes no sense to continue to carp about Mitt Romney and the startlingly incompetent presidential campaign he’s running. His faults as a politician are manifest. He is robotic, unknowable (his own wife asserted at the national convention that “he made me laugh” and then failed to cite a single humorous moment), ideologically incoherent and severely out of touch with the average American. He is his party’s nominee because, like the one-eyed man in the valley of the blind, he is just the best of the worst.

Since Republicans are so focused on the individual and not on the system that produced him, they miss the real problem. The system in this case is the series of incredibly damaging primaries and caucuses that, in the crucial early stages, produce a candidate who could sweep Bavaria. The Iowa caucuses alone take the GOP so far to the right that it all but dooms the winner. Romney had to vow to stop thinking. He had to virtually declare himself anti-Hispanic (criticizing Texas for providing tuition discounts to the college-age children of illegal immigrants). While he has now moderated his approach, it is a bit late. Hispanic is not Spanish for Stupid.

Across the board, Romney pandered to the right. He did so on guns, abortion and even Iran. A GOP candidate has to oppose same-sex marriage, deny global warming and insist — against all evidence — that local control of education is the best. The only way around these positions is to skip the Iowa caucuses entirely. It is no place for a moderate. It is, really, no place for a thinking person. It’s just preposterous that Iowa — 30th in population among the states — gets to be the gatekeeper for the Republican Party and, in a sense, the entire nation.

The list of Republicans who looked at Iowa’s daunting demographics and did not run is more distinguished than those who did. At one time or another, Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain (who was forced to drop out) were front-runners. Can you think of any two people less qualified for the presidency? How about Ron Paul, another front-runner, or Mad Newt Gingrich or Rick Perry, the cement-mouthed governor who would eliminate three Cabinet offices, if only he couldremember them? How about Rick Santorum, a fun guy, who actually beat Romney in Iowa, or Jon Huntsman, a decent man with shallow political experience — and, it seemed, aptitude?

None of these candidates were remotely qualified for the highest office in the land. Arguably, Romney was the exception — and that’s the whole point. He won just by showing up. He beat a bunch of nobodies. This is how the GOP wound up with such a weak candidate, one who espouses extreme positions he does not for a moment believe.

Open the window and listen. You will hear the moans and groans of Republican officials and their trained pundits. But where were these people when their field of oddballs was being assembled? Why were they so silent when Hispanics and women were being told to shove it and the long-dead Darwin was being debated? More to the point, maybe, how come they put up with a primary and caucus system — Iowa first, New Hampshire second — that seemingly was designed by a sly Democrat? The answer is that they do not have the courage nor the intellectual integrity to stand up to the know-nothing (dominant) wing of the Republican Party. They have designed a system where, politically speaking, the lowest common denominator wins. We are all the poorer for it.

Contrast the candidates of yore with the collection that took the field this year. The Republican Party has had a brain drain so that now its highest intellectual achievement is — like an infant in the Terrible 2s— simply to say no to everything, especially taxes. To paraphrase Marx, rise up, GOP moderates. You have nothing to lose . . . but losing.

Real Clear Politics Electoral College Maps reflecting May through August 23, 2012 with no toss ups are;

May: Obama 368, Romney 170;

June: Obama 303, Romney 235;

July: Obama 332, Romney 206

August: Obama 303, Romney 235.

As we are all aware, it takes 270 Electoral College Votes to win the Presidency. What is self evident is that, although the numbers have changed, Former Governor Mitt Romney has never surpassed President Barack Obama.

From the hundreds of articles I have posted on my Face Book and Google Plus Pages and tweeted, it is no mystery that I support the President. My lack of enthusiasm and non-support for Mr. Romney is solely based on Romney’s constantly changing positions dating back to 1994, when he ran to unseat the now deceased Senator, Ted Kennedy.

People often doubt what you say but they always believe what you do, and in regards to “saying and doing,” Mr. Romney falls vividly short in his Political Positions as well as his Policy Positions.

As often said, “a day in Politics is a life time,” hence, anything is possible! However, with eight years of Former President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and their Republican Policies that lead to an “Orwellian Terror State and bankrupted our Nation,” I do not believe that America has forgotten, the deep and unforgiving troubled waters that they left us in and how far we have come, irrespective of all of the negative commotion that are being permeated against the President.

Sometimes it is difficult for me to comprehend the Voters logic or intellect or both, when it comes to their decision making process, thus let us look at a few factors.

From January of 2001 through August of 2008, Bush’s polices lead to the creation of two million, six hundred thousand jobs, but from September 2008 until the day Mr. Bush left office, there was a job loss of three million two hundred thousand jobs. Job losses were at the rate of eight hundred thousand per month.

And, this continued into the Obama’s Presidency and well into almost all of 2009, until Obama’s policies were implemented. At the inception of 2010 through the end of July 2012, four million five hundred thousand jobs were created.

The Dow Jones fell from a high of 14,000 plus to 6,500 in 2007 and 2008. Today, August 26, 2012, the Dow Jones is at an all time four year high of 13,100 plus.

The two wars and the two gigantic tax cuts Bush generated were never paid for, hence when Obama took office, the bills came due and the Republican Party who was part of all of these debts, they held off raising the Debt Ceiling in a timely manner causing us for the first time, to lose our Triple A [AAA] ratings.

Of the five trillion dollars increase in our National debt since Obama took office, 88% were spent paying off the unpaid bills left by Bush and only 12% were used to implement and sustain Obama’s policies.

The Republicans allowed Wall Street and the Banks to go unregulated and they created a scheme whereby, they took home-owners mortgages, packaged it and sold it to investors as Derivatives [Sub-Prime Mortgage] and this was the catalyst that totally collapsed the housing market causing millions of Americans to lose their homes and millions more are living in homes that is classified as “underwater,” and may yet lose their homes.

John Paulson, the Hedge Fund Manager made his fortune betting that the sub-prime mortgage market would collapse, is worth 12.5 billion dollars. He has donated one million dollars to Super PAC’S on behalf of Romney and the Republican Party. He is one of the 23 people along with the Kochs brothers, David, Charles and William that are using their wealth to unseat Obama and elect Romney, so that they can add more billions to their already existing fortunes, whilst 98% of America would sink further back into the deep and unforgiving waters we were left in, at the end of 2008.

Amazing isn’t it! Obama is blamed by Mitt Romney, The Republican Party and the Republican and some Independent Voters, for all that ails us and our country.

Piers Morgan, stop the “WHINING” about this is the dirtiest campaign ever. You sound like an overgrown man trapped in an adolescence mind!

Posted in CNN, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Piers Morgan, Politics, President Obama, Super Pac, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on August 8, 2012 by sheriffali

When you interviewed Mitt Romney at the Olympics in London, you suddenly collapsed into passive syndrome when you tried to pin him down. I would have to say that Romney’s declarative, transitive sentences caused the interest in the interview to vanish as fast as vapor trails, because after whining for months about Mitt Romney not giving any interviews to anyone but Fox News, when you had the opportunity, “you blew it.”

But, on tonight’s show [August 8, 2012] you are quick to trample over President Obama because of the Super Pac add blaming Romney for the woman’s death.

Romney used dishonest carpet bombing against his opponents; Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and others to get as far as he has, and now that his phantasmagoric rationales and internecine assertions against Obama are being reciprocated in kind, you sit there like some self-righteous Dictator, spewing nonsense. [Romney never took responsibility for what the Super Pac was doing, so why should President Obama?]

I have lived in America going on 42 years and that is longer than you have and each and every election cycle, people complain about what is or isn’t the dirtiest campaign.

George H.W. Bush used Willie Horton and his son whose Orwellian policies created a terror State and bankrupted a once great nation, he George W. Bush was as dirty as it gets. In 2000 he ran ads claiming that Senator John McCain’s adopted child was indeed fathered by McCain. In 2004 Bush and his ochlocracy swift-boated John Kerry, when it was Kerry that placed his life on the line for his country.

If you want to talk about something as a Journalist; inform the uninformed and unknowledgeable American Citizen to be told the “actual facts,” by an honest Journalist and not another opinion maker spouting hyperboles and twisted information.

Yes tell them that President Bush, Dick Cheney and their “ochlocracy,” threw us into the abyss and left us for dead. Hence it is amazing to me that you who have dealt with the financial market and are fully aware that the Dow fell to 6,500 in 2007 and that the Dow are now over 13,000 which is a major indicator on the positive side; you permeate such a pessimistic view.

We were shedding jobs at a rate of almost 800,000 per month, from September 2008   and the unemployment losses continued to the end of Bush’s Presidency and well into all of 2009 until Obama’s Policies took effect. Now, for thirty straight months we have added jobs to the tune of 4,500,000, but you beat-up on President Obama as though he is the cause of all that ails America.

You know as well as anyone with financial knowledge that Bush’s stimulus and Obama’s, were never really intended to be “job creation funding.” The stimulus money from both Presidents was then and now, to “prop-up” our financial Institutions that almost bankrupted us.
