[NYT] “On Nov. 8, Americans may elect our first female president. While many of us are exhilarated at the idea of this feminist victory, the toll we’ve paid for coming so close to that historic barrier has been the most graphically sexist election in living memory.

 

What this campaign has shown us is that while feminism has transformed American culture, our politics and the lives of women, men haven’t evolved nearly as rapidly. Women changed. Too many men didn’t. What happens next?

 

For all of American history, white men have been both the dominant group and the default one: It was mostly white men in charge, and it was white male experiences and norms against which all others found themselves contrasted and defined. When Hillary Clinton started at Yale Law School in 1969, there was only one woman in the United States Senate. It was legal for a man to rape his wife, but abortion was mostly outlawed. Mrs. Clinton graduated as one of just 27 women in a class of 235, after being explicitly told that if accepted into law school, she would take the rightful place of a man.

 

Decades-long movements for women’s rights have challenged that system, breaking down the legal and social barriers that blocked women from the work force, questioning the cultural rules that so often kept women silent, and giving women more control over their bodies and, by extension, their futures. President Barack Obama on Tuesday called on men to “look inside” themselves and think about bias if they have any doubt about voting for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

 

“To the guys out there, I want to be honest,” Obama told a crowd in Columbus, Ohio, at a Clinton campaign event. “You know, there’s a reason we haven’t had a woman president before.”

 

He asked male voters to think about their potential biases against Clinton, who would be the first female president in U.S. history.

 

“I want every man out there who’s voting to kinda look inside yourself and ask yourself, if you’re having problems with this stuff, how much of it is that we’re just not used to it?” he said. “When a guy is ambitious and out in the public arena and working hard, well that’s okay. But when a woman suddenly does it, suddenly you’re all like, well, why’s she doing that?”

 

Obama went on to praise Clinton. “She is so much better qualified than the other guy,” he said, referring to GOP nominee Donald Trump. “She has conducted herself so much better in public life than the other guy.”

 

Obama blasted Trump for his disrespectful treatment of women and said the behavior would continue should he be elected president.

 

“The only thing this office does is it amplifies who you are. It magnifies who you are,” he said. “If you disrespected women before you were elected, you will disrespect women once you’re president.”

[WAPO] “Surrogates have waxed long on the foundation’s charitable works, its lifesaving endeavors and the “unprecedented” efforts that Clinton put in place to promote transparency. In contrast, they pointed to Trump and what they described as his opaque history of business dealings and entanglements, which they said pose a real conflict of interest.

 

Late Wednesday night, Clinton called into CNN’s Anderson Cooper to offer a full-throated defense of her family’s foundation.

 

“We did provide a lot of life-saving work,” Clinton said. “I’m proud of the work that my husband started and he did.

 

“We provided a massive amount of information and Donald Trump doesn’t release his tax [returns] and is indebted to foreign banks and foreign lenders,” she added.

 

Clinton has largely stayed out of the spotlight, continuing a multiday fundraising swing on the West Coast. On Thursday, her speech in Reno, Nev., will attempt to train the campaign’s full attention on Trump and his connections to the “alt-right,” a conservative movement often associated with white nationalism.

 

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has gone on the attack.

 

Before noon on Wednesday, the Trump campaign blasted out four separate emails pressuring Clinton on her foundation ties in the hope of keeping the message in the news. Uncharacteristically, most of Trump’s tweets about Clinton have also been tied to the issue.

 

Since the conventions, Trump has battled controversies including the overhaul of his campaign leadership, his campaign aide’s ties to a pro-Russian regime in Ukraine and an ongoing spat with the Muslim parents of a fallen U.S. soldier. Seizing on those controversies, Clinton’s campaign worked to put Trump on the defensive while largely keeping the spotlight off Clinton.”

Republicans Are In “Denial” About Hillary Clinton!

If there’s one thing you’d think the events of the last few weeks might accomplish, it’s to get Republicans to reconsider whether beating Hillary Clinton in 2016 will be the cakewalk they apparently have been expecting. Clinton has posted strong fundraising numbers. 

 

Joe Biden has pulled out. A Bernie Sanders upset is looking increasingly unlikely.  Clinton held her own, and then some, for half a day [11 hours] in last week’s Benghazi hearing. The credibility of the GOP investigations has been damaged.  Republican probe ringleaders may be reconsidering their focus on her emails.

But one of the most important advantages Clinton may have, according to Mark Halperin, is the quality of Republican thinking about the 2016 election:

 

Some Republicans so detest Hillary Clinton they are badly underestimating how likely she is, at this point in the campaign, to be America’s 45th president. Their denial is just as strong now as it was a month ago, before Clinton began a run of political victories that have enhanced her prospects….many elite and grassroots Republicans believe Clinton’s personality, which they can’t stand, will keep her out of the Oval Office no matter what.

 

Republicans are erroneously convinced they can beat Clinton solely with talk of Benghazi, e-mails, and other controversies that have nothing to do with the economy and the real lives of real people.

 

 Nowhere does the Fox News-Rush Limbaugh echo chamber more hurt Republican chances of beating Clinton than in the politics of scandal and controversy. To paraphrase the famous line attributed to Pauline Kael: everyone who conservatives know think the Clintons should be in prison. The problem is that swing voters don’t share that view in sufficient numbers to actually warrant banking a victory on placing those arguments front and center.

Dorothy Howell was 8 years old when her parents sent her away. It was 1927. Her mother and father, who fought violently in the Chicago boardinghouse where the family lived, divorced. Neither was willing to take care of Dorothy or her little sister.

 

So they put the girls on a train to California to live with their grandparents. It did not go well. Her grandmother favored black Victorian dresses and punished the girls for inexplicable infractions, like playing in the yard. (Dorothy was not allowed to leave her room for a year, other than for school, after she went trick-or-treating one Halloween.)

 

Unable to bear it, Dorothy left her grandparents’ home at 14, and became a housekeeper for $3 a week, always hoping to return to Chicago and reconnect with her mother. But when she finally did, a few years later, her mother spurned her again.

 

It took a long time for Hillary Rodham Clinton to fully understand the story of her mother’s devastating childhood. But now, four years after her death, Dorothy’s story is forming the emotional foundation of her daughter’s campaign for president, and will be a central theme in her big kickoff speech on Saturday.

Sooner rather than later the consequences of Bush and Cheney’s Illegal War with Iraq was going to come back to haunt us and what you see today, “is the result of the vacuum Bush and Cheney created when they knocked over Saddam Hussein and fired the entire Iraqi Army.” The ISIS you see today is factually, Saddam Hussein’s Most Elite Force, The Republican Guards. They were the best trained; best paid; most loyal to the Sunni Dictator and the only thing they knew was to protect Iraq from outside forces which included Terrorist Organization.

 

Obama not being capricious with the lives of our Troops has the better sense and judgment to know if you put American Troops in the middle of Sectarian, Civil and Religious Wars that are ongoing between the Sunnis and the Shiites, thousands more Americans would die on top of the thousands that have already died from Bush and Cheney’s internecine Polices.

 

Dr. Martin Luther King was right when he said; “If you do not stand for something you would fall for anything.” Little did I know his words are what you see in the Democratic Party today with the outlandish disrespect by Democrats for President Obama!

 

Republicans using the Fear Tactic just like Bush and Cheney did in 2004, and Democrats rather stand like men and women and confront these criminals, Congressional Democrats are hiding like Rats because the lying Republican Tom and Pussy Cats have scared the hell out of Democrats that are most interested in keeping their jobs, rather than standing up for what is right.

There is something really wrong when Middle Class and Poor Republicans keep voting against their own interest when it is a fact, that the 12 Poorest States in the US are Republicans Run Red-States.

 

They are last in Education; health care benefits; jobs; or anything productive for their children’s future, but yes, they keep voting Republican. The Republicans do give them full Second Amendment Rights to purchase all the Guns they want and the Open-Carry it where ever they want to take their Guns. Church, Schools, Stores, Restaurants and anywhere their hearts desire.

 

Republicans have convinced their base that President Obama is a socialist; that he is coming to get their Guns, Donkeys, Cows, their homes, their land and yes, all of their Pigs. Strange enough, these people believe these lying Politicians.

 

Bill Moyers asked Former President Lyndon Johnson “why do Middle Class and Poor Republicans vote against their interest? President Johnson responded; “take the lowest white man and tell him that he is better than the best black man and he wouldn’t know you are picking his pocket. Hell, give him someone to look down at and he will empty his pockets for you.”

 

Perhaps that same question can be answered in two ways; Mark Twain said; “it is easier to fool someone than to convince them that they are being fooled.” Another way to answer the question is; “when you are dead you don’t know you are dead, others do, but you don’t. The same philosophy applies to stupidity.

 

Democrats are not saints but in fairness they do pass Bills and institute programs to help the Middle Class and the Poor, irrespective of Party affiliation. But, Republicans do nothing to help 98% of America but spend their time, effort and your money, protecting the top 2%.

 

Everyone that is of legal age to vote in November you should vote. However, when you cast your vote ask yourself what has the Republican Party done for you outside of promoting Guns, hate, prejudice, bigotry, anarchy, anarchist, poverty, joblessness and war. Perhaps, just perhaps, you should look back over the past 50 years and see if you can find one Republican that left a smaller budget than they inherited.

 

Look back and see which Republican President in 50 years spending was [1 ¼%]? That is what President Obama spending is. Reagan was 8.5%; Bush 41 was over 6%; Clinton 3.25%; Bush 43 8.9% and Obama 1.25%. These numbers are not hyperboles, they represent facts and you can verify these numbers using the Government Web Sites.

Former Prime Minister to Israel, David Ben Gurion in a letter to his son wrote; “We will expel the Arabs and take their place. In each attack a decisive blow should be struck resulting in the destruction of homes and expulsion of the population.” [Isn’t this is what Aerial Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu has been doing]

 

For America, Israel is never wrong, despite the killing of innocent children, women and men for 47 years!

 

For Russia, Pro-Russian Separatists is never wrong, despite the killing of innocent people!

 

For 47 years “America” have stood with Israel despite their occupation and siege of the Palestinian people. We have provided the munitions with which they carry out the genocide each and every time there is a conflict. We have never once voted for any Sanctions against Israel, however, when Israel crimes are so self evident, rather than vote, we abstain.

 

Apart from giving not charging Israel for all of the Military Equipment they possess, we provide three billion dollars in annual aid. Israel is the largest recipient of America’s foreign aid. The amazing thing is that the power to end this long ongoing conflict for the past 47 years are in the hands of the Israelis. All they have to do is agree to a two-state solution so that the Palestinian people can live their lives and hopefully live out their God given abilities to educate their children and prosper as other countries have. For all of the 47 years Israel have sealed off the borders of Palestine by Air, Land and Sea. The Palestinian every need is totally dependent on the mood of whoever the Israeli Prime Minister is.

 

Apart from Israel having created the largest human Prison for men, women and children, Israel has been using America’s Tax Payers money to build Israeli Settlements in the West Bank. For a fact, going back to George W. H. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama, all of whom have asked Israel to stop expanding the Israeli Settlements, it falls on deaf ears. Israel has taken so much of the Palestinian land that the approximately two million Palestinians are living in a tightly squeezed area. And what does America do, we keep arming Israel, paying for their Iron Dome Defense and paying to service it and yes, we continue to provide the three billion dollars annually.

 

In regards to Russia and China we always criticize them for vetoing sanctions against Iran, Syria and the likes, but we do the same when it comes to Israel. We are quick to label Vladimir Putin as evil for which he is, but essentially, we do the same thing. The United States with its high moral tone always want to take the high-road and condemn others, when it truth and in fact, there isn’t any difference.

 

In the like manner that Vladimir Putin is wrong in providing munitions to the Separatists on the Ukrainian Border with Russia, we are also wrong for condoning the egregious machinations carried out by Israel. This most recent conflict started out with three missing Jewish teenagers who turned out  to have been killed. Only Benjamin Netanyahu can take a Police matter and turn it into a full blown war without any shred of proof that Hamas kidnapped and killed the teenagers. Since July 17, 2014, Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered military action against the people of Gaza that has killed more than 1,600 people, mostly children and have literally decimated schools, homes, building and the only power-plant inside of Gaza, and the world just stands around doing nothing, including America. Now, we are resupplying Israel with more arms and praising them on Television, Radio and Print News.

 

Republicans hate which includes many Democrats for the Moslem world is great in number, no one can seem to understand that one doesn’t have to be a Moslem to have mercy for the People of Palestine. Let me be very clear, I don’t support Hamas or any other terrorists, however, when we in the West and Israel commit War Crimes it is just conflict, but when others do the same thing, it is terror from terrorists.
