White House Staffers Are Discussing When [Not If] Donald Trump Would Resign. If Trump Resigns This May Not Be A Good Thing Because Mike Pence May Very Well Pardon Everyone As George Herbert Walker Bush Did In January 1993, Hours Before Turning Over The Presidency To Bill Clinton.

[Palmer Report] “Donald Trump is holed up in Camp David this week, a place he hates, and is reportedly refusing to meet or speak with anyone on his staff. This comes at the end of a week in which he was exposed as being under criminal investigation, and responded by exploding on Twitter in self incriminating fashion. Now comes word that Trump’s staffers are expecting him to resign.

That’s the word from political insider Jon Cooper, who has shared the following: “WH source: Alarmed Trump staffers are starting to talk about WHEN (not if) Trump will resign. Wondering if Pence will be forced out, too.” No specific timetable is known to have been discussed. Rather, by framing it in terms of when and not if, White House staffers are expressing their expectation that Trump’s resignation is now inevitable (keep in mind that inevitable does not mean imminent).

This raises the question of why some of Donald Trump’s staffers are now expecting him to resign, rather than merely expecting that he’ll be ousted through impeachment or the 25th Amendment. His staff has been working closely with him on a daily basis for half a year, and they may now be interpreting his latest words or behavior as a sign that he knows it’s time to bail out before things get worse. Or they may have heard him say as much. It’s also notable that the White House staff thinks Mike Pence may also be a goner.

Pence recently hired an attorney to personally represent him in the Russia probe. He’s also launched a fundraising PAC which appears aimed at paying his legal bills, suggesting that he expects to be a central target of the investigation in prolonged manner which will result in massive attorney’s fees. Former FBI Director James Comey confirmed during his recent testimony that Pence knew early on that Michael Flynn was dirty, suggesting that he may have been in on the cover up.”

Donald Trump Is Being Investigated For “Obstruction Of Justice,” Not The Firing Of FBI Director James Comey

Posted in Politics, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 16, 2017 by sheriffali

Donald  Trump’s own words, verbal and written, his behavior and intent, he Trump may have very well convicted himself; as defined in the omnibus clause of 18 U.S.C. § 1503

“Obstruction of justice is defined in the omnibus clause of 18 U.S.C. § 1503, which provides that “whoever . . . . corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice, shall be (guilty of an offense).” Persons are charged under this statute based on allegations that a defendant intended to interfere with an official proceeding, by doing things such as destroying evidence, or interfering with the duties of jurors or court officers.

A person obstructs justice when they have a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, they must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but the person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a nexus between the defendant’s endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the defendant must have knowledge of this nexus.

  • 1503 applies only to federal judicial proceedings. Under § 1505, however, a defendant can be convicted of obstruction of justice by obstructing a pending proceeding before Congress or a federal agency. A pending proceeding could include an informal investigation by an executive agency.” [Legal Information Institute]

The Media Is Not “Fake News,” However; Almost All Of The Media Work For The Same Owner, “Mr. Avarice Mendacity”

“The present state of the US Economy and the good jobs report, all of the “Credit Still Goes To President Obama, however, “The Media Credits Donald Trump, even though that despite Trump and Republicans are in Control of the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, they haven’t passed a single legislation, other than Trump’s unhinged Executive Orders.

The only accomplishments by Trump and Republicans have at this time are; Scandals, Lying, Obstruction Of Justice, Treason, Take Away People’s Health Insurance and give Trillion Dollar Tax Break to the Rich, they all add up to be Parasitic Parasites.” [Sheriff Gerry Ali]

[Media] “The economy is emerging as a bright spot for President Trump as he struggles to move his congressional agenda amid a series of controversies.

The S&P 500 is up more than 12 percent since Election Day, unemployment has reached a 16-year low and economic growth in the coming year is expected to reach 2.3 percent, more robust growth than the 1.6 percent it grew in 2016.

Trump sought to play up his handling of the economy again on Friday at an event to end a week meant to highlight his efforts on legislation to fund new infrastructure projects across the country.

“We are here to think big, to act boldly, and to rise above the petty partisan squabbling of Washington, D.C. We are here to take action. It’s time to start building in our country, with American workers and with American iron and aluminum and steel,” Trump said in a speech at the Department of Transportation.

Trump has often gotten in his own way when it comes to publicizing his handling of the economy.

This was supposed to be the administration’s “infrastructure week,” but it was almost entirely overshadowed by the appearance by fired FBI Director James Comey at the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The controversy surrounding Comey’s firing has led to a new drop in the polls for Trump, whose approval rating in the Real Clear Politics average is just 39 percent, with 55 percent expressing disapproval.

After James Comey’s testimony eclipsed Trump’s planned infrastructure week, he and first daughter Ivanka Trump will embark on a road show this week highlighting workforce development and job creation in the Midwest, including new German-style apprenticeship initiatives. http://thehill.com/policy/finance/337203-economy-emerges-as-bright-spot-for-trump

The Larceny Of Donald Trump And The Republicans Dishonesty, Is A Disgrace To The Human Race, As Their Lying And Corruption Explodes All Over The Place!

AA 1-26

After 240 Years of great sacrifices by so many to create a Country, America, to being the “greatest Nation on the face of the Earth,” just how did Donald Trump ended up in the Oval Office, breaking every law imaginable and a Party, the GOP, not only supporting this Parasitic Parasite, but as Paul Ryan has just done, they, the Republicans are making excuses for this Bigoted, Fascist, Racist, Bankruptcy Swindler, Groper and Con Man, enabling Trump to continue his assault on the United States, while at the same time, elevating Vladimir Putin in all of his egregious machinations.

Republicans spent 5 years and tens of millions of dollars of Taxpayers money investigating one horrible incident, Benghazi, but yet these same despicable and deplorable, unprincipled and unpatriotic plagues obstruct and openly hinder any and all investigation into the Trump Russia Collusion and every other illegal Act, that Trump continues to perpetuate on America and the American people.

Perhaps, just perhaps, good will come out of this evil; “The Impeachment Of Donald Trump And The Destruction Of The Republican Party,” thus giving America a new and more legitimate path forward.” “Let us keep Hope that this shall be so.”

“What Oxygen Is To The Lung, Such Is Hope For The Meaning Of Life.” Don’t ever give up on hope that we can have better tomorrows.”

FIVE Arab States Cut Diplomatic Ties With Qatar That House America’s Largest Military Base; And Donald Trump Takes Credit!

It is amazing that the Republican Congress and other Republican Politicians are still standing behind Donald Trump when in fact, everything Trump is doing is damaging to America and gives Vladimir Putin What he want. For the longest time Putin unsuccessfully tried to stop Qatar from Housing America’s Largest Military Base in the Middle East, but Putin has finally succeeded via his Puppet, Donald Trump.

Subsequent to Donald Trump’s Middle East Trip, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates [UAE] and Yemen not only broke Diplomatic Ties with Qatar, but also cut off Land, Air and Sea to and from Qatar.

[NYT] “ EgyptSaudi Arabia and three other Arab countries severed all ties with Qatar early Monday, in a renewal of a four-year effort to isolate it and in a sign of a new boldness after a visit to the region by President Trump.

In an abrupt and surprising move, the five Arab states not only suspended diplomatic relations, as they have in the past, but also cut off land, air and sea travel to and from Qatar. All but Egypt, which has many thousands of people working there, ordered their citizens to leave the country.

Qatar, like other monarchies in the Persian Gulf, is a close ally of Washington, and it hosts a major American military base that commands the United States-led air campaign against the Islamic State.

As such, the feud among regional allies threatens to stress the operations of the American-led coalition and complicate efforts in the region to confront Iran — but could also be a heavy blow to Tehran’s regional ambitions, if Qatar is forced to sever ties.

Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson offered to broker the impasse on Monday in the hope of preserving the Trump administration’s efforts to create broad coalitions against Iran and terrorist groups in the Middle East.

“We certainly would encourage the parties to sit down together and address these differences,” Mr. Tillerson said.

The severing of all connections by Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen created an immediate crisis for Qatar. Qatari diplomats were given 48 hours to leave their posts in Bahrain, while Qatari citizens were allotted two weeks to depart Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”

Under Donald Trump And The Republican Controlled Congress America Started Moving On A Path Away From The Peace, Prosperity And Stability That Have Defined The Past 75 Years

Posted in United States with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 6, 2017 by sheriffali

[WAPO] “In economics, as in life, things often take longer to happen than you think they will and then happen faster than you thought they could. So it may turn out with the catastrophic international economic policies of President Trump. It is possible that last week will be remembered as a hinge in history — a moment when the United States and the world started moving on a path away from the peace, prosperity and stability that have defined the past 75 years.

For all that has gone wrong in the past three-quarters of a century, this period has witnessed more human betterment than any time. The rate of fatalities in war has steadily declined, while growing integration has driven global growth and improvement in life expectancy and living standards. Progress is too slow, and not well enough shared, but Americans have never lived so well. This has been driven by remarkable developments in human thought, especially in science and technology, and a relatively stable global order that has been underwritten by the United States.

Will these trends continue? Optimists have suggested that despite the revanchist and often anti-rationalist rhetoric of his campaign, Trump has in the international sphere surrounded himself with rational establishment advisers and has either retreated or been stymied by Congress on proposals such as launching trade wars and building walls.

Until last week, they had a reasonable argument. No longer. We may have our first post-rational president. Trump has rejected the view of modern science on global climate change, embraced economic forecasts and trade theories outside the range of reputable opinion, and relied on the idea of alternative facts rather than evidence-based truth.

Even for conservative statesmen such as Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and Henry Kissinger, the idea of a community of nations has been a commonplace. Come now H.R McMaster, national security adviser, and Gary Cohn, director of the National Economic Council, who have been held out as the president’s most rational, globally minded advisers.

They have taken to the Wall Street Journal to proclaim that “the world is not a global community” and advanced a theory of international relations not unlike the one that animated the British and French at Versailles at the end of World War I. On this view, the objective of international negotiation is not to establish a stable, peaceful system or to seek cooperation or to advance universal values through compromise, they wrote, but to strike better deals in “an arena where nations, nongovernmental organizations, and businesses compete for advantage.”

In service of this theory, the president in the past two weeks renounced any claim to U.S. moral leadership by failing to convincingly reaffirm traditional U.S. security commitments to NATO and abandoning participation in the Paris global climate agreement. The latter is probably our most consequential error since the Iraq War and may well be felt even longer.

There will be consequences to all of this, as there were to the pursuit of short-term advantage rather than systemic stability at Versailles. One does not need to subscribe to pessimistic versions of Graham Allison’s “Thucydides Trap” as it relates to worries about how China as a rising power may fill the vacuum left by the United States.

How, after the events of the past week, can U.S. adversaries and allies alike not follow German Chancellor Angela Merkel in concluding that the United States is now far less predictable and reliable? How can the responses be other than destabilizing?

It is essential that leaders in U.S. society signal clearly their disapproval of the course the administration is taking. History will judge poorly business leaders who retain positions on Trump administration advisory boards because they hope to be in a position to cut favorable deals. Elon Musk of Tesla and Robert Iger of Disney have taken the correct and principled stand by resigning their presidential appointments. More should follow.

What is to be done? The U.S. president is not America. The world will be watching to see whether Trump’s words and deeds represent an irrevocable turn in the nation’s approach to the world or a temporary aberration. The more that leading figures in U.S. society can signal their continuing commitment to reason, to common purpose with other nations, and to addressing global challenges, the more the damage can be contained. And, of course, Congress has a central role to play in preventing dangerous and destabilizing steps.”

Donald Trump Resizing U.S. Role As World Leader To The Size Of His Frigging Peanut Brain, Enabled By Republican Traitors

“Trump has been an awful disgusting, lying, corrupt thieving swindler all of his life and Trump has taken this vulgar crooked life into the White House. The only thing worse than Trump are the Top Republican Leaders and other Republicans in Congress that are enabling Trump to drag America into the same category as Nicaragua and Syria. Just Imagine, 194 Countries stands with the Paris Climate Accord and Donald Trump, backed up by many Republicans pulled America into a category of 3 countries rejecting perhaps the most significant World Agreement ever enacted.

It seems self evident that the only reason why Republicans are assisting Trump in dismantling America is because they are Neck Deep with Trump in the Russian Money Scandal. It is accurate to say that Republicans have chosen Corruption before Country!” [Sheriff Gerry Ali]

[Los Angeles Times] WASHINGTON — “President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the historic Paris climate accord is the most concrete sign yet that his “America first” approach to foreign policy has begun to disrupt the global order and ultimately could cede Washington’s dominant role on the world stage to China. For arguably the first time since Washington built a web of military, trade and diplomatic alliances from the ruins of World War II, and assumed sole superpower status after the Cold War, a president has thumbed his nose at virtually the entire world — allies and adversaries alike — to follow a go-it-alone strategy in international affairs.

Trump’s recent overseas trip left bruised feelings in Europe, especially after he failed to acknowledge the portion of the NATO charter that declares an attack on one member is an attack on all. It appeared a startling repudiation of staunch allies that invoked the charter to back U.S. troops in Afghanistan after the 2001 terrorist attacks. But his retreat on climate change — even if the commitments in the 194-nation Paris accord were voluntary and the U.S. already has cut emissions significantly thanks to shale gas technology and more efficient cars — clearly marks a new chapter in U.S. foreign policy, one likely to ripple around the world.” Open Los Angles Times Link For This Factual Amazing Article:
