[NYT] “The homeland security secretary, John Kelly, issued a remarkable pair of memos on Tuesday. They are the battle plan for the “deportation force” President Trump promised in the campaign.

They are remarkable for how completely they turn sensible immigration policies upside down and backward. For how they seek to make the deportation machinery more extreme and frightening (and expensive), to the detriment of deeply held American values.

A quick flashback: The Obama administration recognized that millions of unauthorized immigrants, especially those with citizen children and strong ties to their communities and this country, deserved a chance to stay and get right with the law. It tried to focus on deporting dangerous criminals, national-security threats and recent border crossers.

Mr. Kelly has swept away those notions. He makes practically every deportable person a deportation priority. He wants everybody, starting with those who have been convicted of any crime, no matter how petty or old. Proportionality, discretion, the idea that some convictions are unjust, the principles behind criminal-justice reform — these concepts do not apply.

The targets now don’t even have to be criminals. They could simply have been accused of a crime (that is, still presumed “innocent”) or have done something that makes an immigration agent believe that they might possibly face charges.”

Stand up against and Resist Donald Trump and the Fraudulent Republicans in Congress.  They are literally wrecking 240 years of America’s Sacrifices and Greatness. Do your part!

Donald Trump Is The Reincarnation Of Deceased Openly Racist Alabama Governor, George Wallace. To Deny That Trump Is A Racist Would Be The Same As Believing You Are Dead When You Are Not!

The Now Owned Corporate Media Are Too Busy For Ratings And Ignore The Enormity Of Donald Trump’s Racism, However, Trump’s Ideas Weren’t Born Because He Is Running For President. Donald Trump Has Been, Is And Always Will  Be A Racist, Bigot, A Charlatan And Mountebank.

Donald Trump is more dangerous than the Iran Deal because Trump is sowing discord from inside America, creating Anarchy with people hiding behind Anarchists to cover up their racism. This man Donald Trump is a product of the extreme right-wing within the Republican Party.

GEORGE WALLACE ALABAMA RACIST GOVERNOR!

“Anthony and Henry Lee were no different than thousands of other black Southern teenagers caught in the intense battle over the implementation of Brown v. Board of Education. But their names would go down in history.

Alabama Gov. George Wallace took office in January 1963 vowing “segregation now, segregation tomorrow and segregation forever.” Two weeks later, Montgomery civil rights lawyer Fred Gray filed Lee v. Macon County Board of Education, seeking to have 14 African-American teens, led by Anthony and Henry, admitted to the all-white Tuskegee High School. U.S. District Judge Frank M. Johnson Jr. granted Gray’s petition in July.

On Sept. 2, the day classes were scheduled to start for the fall term; Wallace issued an executive order shutting the school for a week and instructed the state police to enforce his decree.

Within days, Judge Johnson and four other federal trial judges in Alabama jointly issued a restraining order instructing the governor to stop interfering with the court-ordered desegregation of public schools in Birmingham, Mobile and Tuskegee. When Wallace ordered the Alabama National Guard to stop any nonwhite children from entering all-white schools, President John F. Kennedy federalized the guard and had them return to their armories.

But the governor wasn’t through, and he declared the state would reimburse parents if they sent their children to a new all-white private school or an all-white public school in a neighboring district. When Tuskegee High’s doors opened Sept. 9, the only students attending were the black children. Wallace then ordered the school closed, leaving the traditionally all-black Tuskegee Institute High School as the only option for students of color.

Judge Johnson had the final word. He and two other federal judges jointly ordered the state to bus the black students to the all-white public schools and enjoined the state from offering any payments to white parents who sent their kids to the private school. He also ruled that Wallace’s actions starting on Sept. 2 were evidence that state officials controlled public education, not local leaders. That finding allowed Johnson to issue a statewide permanent desegregation order as part of Lee.”

50 Years After Bloody Sunday, Selma Is Remembered And Honored With The First African American President And The Great Civil Rights Leader, John Lewis!

[NYT] SELMA, Ala. — As a new generation struggles over race and power in America, President Obama and a host of political figures from both parties came here on Saturday, to the site of one of the most searing days of the civil rights era, to reflect on how far the country has come and how far it still has to go.

Fifty years after peaceful protesters trying to cross a bridge were beaten by police officers with billy clubs, shocking the nation and leading to passage of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965, the nation’s first African-American president led a bipartisan, biracial testimonial to the pioneers whose courage helped pave the way for his own election to the highest office of the land.

But coming just days after Mr. Obama’s Justice Department excoriated the police department of Ferguson, Mo., as a hotbed of racist oppression, even as it cleared a white officer in the killing of an unarmed black teenager, the anniversary seemed more than a commemoration of long-ago events on a black-and-white newsreel. Instead, it provided a moment to measure the country’s far narrower, and yet stubbornly persistent, divide in black-and-white reality.

In an address at the scene of what became known as “Bloody Sunday,” Mr. Obama rejected the notion that race relations have not improved since then, despite the string of police shootings that have provoked demonstrations. “What happened in Ferguson may not be unique,” he said, “but it’s no longer endemic. It’s no longer sanctioned by law or custom, and before the civil rights movement, it most surely was.”

But the president also rejected the notion that racism has been defeated. “We don’t need the Ferguson report to know that’s not true,” he said. “We just need to open our eyes and our ears and our hearts to know that this nation’s racial history still casts its long shadow upon us. We know the march is not over yet, we know the race is not yet won. We know reaching that blessed destination where we are judged by the content of our character requires admitting as much.”

An estimated 40,000 people, most but not all African-American, gathered on a sunny, warm day in this small town of elegant if weathered homes and buildings to mark the occasion. The celebration had a festival feeling, with vendors hawking barbecue, funnel cakes, hamburgers and posters of Mr. Obama, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali and others. They came from near and far, some lining up before 6:30 a.m. to make sure they got in. [New York Times]

 BLOODY SUNDAY REMEMBERED - SELMA MARCH 7 2015 - 2

A Tartar would be more at home on Cheapside than President Obama in the haunts of Republican Christian Hypocrites.

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 21, 2014 by sheriffali

President Obama’s speech seems to the Babylonian Republicans and their Followers among whom he dwells, an outlandish tongue, his manners are singular and his actions are strange.

Obama walks through the hypocritical, extremist Republican world as a pilgrim in a foreign land. He is a stranger in his own country. The Babylonian Republicans, have forgotten all he has done rescuing America from the derangement of; Bush, Cheney and the Republican Congress. They dishonor him, set up new laws and alien customs, suing him for reforming a broken Health Care System and know him not. Never was a Non-Foreigner so speckled a bird among the denizens of any land as Obama among his mother’s brethren. It is no marvel, then, he is unknown and a stranger here in his own land.

But here is the sweetness of his lot: He is a stranger with Thee. Thou art his fellow-sufferer, his fellow-pilgrim. Oh, what joy he feels to wander in such blessed society! His heart burns within him by the way when Thou dost speak to him, and though he be a sojourner, he is far more blest than those who sit in the Republican House,  Senate and the Governor’s Mansions, and far more at home than Republican Followers who dwell in their ceiled houses, like the Koch Brothers.  [Modification of Charles Spurgeon’s writing to express my vision of President Obama’s Predicament]

Republican Committee On Appropriations Cannot Defund President Obama’s Executive Order On Immigration, Even If The GOP Shut-Down The Government. [NYT]

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 20, 2014 by sheriffali

Here is the full statement from the House Appropriations Committee on its view that it could not deny funding to the agency responsible for carrying out executive action on immigration, which President Obama is to announce tonight:

“The primary agency for implementing the president’s new immigration executive order is the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This agency is entirely self-funded through the fees it collects on various immigration applications. Congress does not appropriate funds for any of its operations, including the issuance of immigration status or work permits, with the exception of the ‘E-Verify’ program. Therefore, the appropriations process cannot be used to “defund” the agency. The agency has the ability to continue to collect and use fees to continue current operations, and to expand operations as under a new executive order, without needing legislative approval by the Appropriations Committee or the Congress, even under a continuing resolution or a government shutdown.”

Mr. Obama’s speech on immigration policy tonight will be praised by most Democrats and lambasted by most Republicans, who contend that Mr. Obama is abusing his authority to provide work permits to millions of undocumented immigrants.

But congressional opponents who believe the best way to block the president’s new initiative is to cut off government funds for it could be in for a severe disappointment.

Officials of the Republican-led House Appropriations Committee have concluded that the government agency most responsible for implementing any new executive order — Citizenship and Immigration Services — would not be hindered if government funds are cut off; it operates entirely on revenue it generates through immigration applications.

In short, lawmakers have no fiscal leverage over the agency, which could keep operating even if the rest of the government was shut down.

“Congress does not appropriate funds for any of its operations, including the issuance of immigration status or work permits, with the exception of the E-verify program,” the committee said in a statement. “Therefore the appropriations process cannot be used to ‘de-fund’ the agency.”

Republican congressional leaders acknowledge it could be politically disastrous for Republicans to engineer a shutdown just as they are about to take control of Congress.

Leaders of the Appropriations Committee say the best course is to act responsibly, pass a legislative package financing the government for the 2015 fiscal year and then find other ways to squeeze the administration when Republicans control the House and Senate, beginning in January.

The warning that a shutdown wouldn’t shut down the agency handling the new policy was meant to underscore that point. – [Carl Hulse NYT]

BARACK OBAMA - EXEC ORDER NOV 20 14

On June 27, 2013 A Bipartisan Immigration Bill Passed The Senate By A 68-32 Margin And John Boehner Has Sat On The Bill To This Day, Refusing To Bring It To The Floor For An Up Or Down Vote. What Is The President Supposed To do?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 19, 2014 by sheriffali

June 27, 2013 68 Senators, 54 Democrats And 14 Republicans Passed A Comprehensive Immigration Bill And Sent It To The House. To Date November 19, 2014, John Boehner Have Refused To Bring The Bill To The Floor For A Vote. The Reason Being Most Of The Extremists Republicans In The House Wouldn’t Vote For The Bill, Although There Are Enough Republicans That Would Join The Democrats And Pass The Bill.

And Now That President Obama Has Decided To Use His Inherently Executive Power As Stipulated In The Constitution To Take Action On Immigration Policy, Republicans Are using Phantasmagoric Rationales And Internecine Narcissism To Sway The President From Taking Action On Immigration.

Five Previous Presidents, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush And George W Bush Have Used Executive Powers On Immigration Policies.

It Is No Mystery That Because President Obama Is The One Utilizing The Executive Power As His Predecessors Is The Reason Why Republicans Have Gone Psycho.

Most Of The News Media Are Helping To Create Commotion Amongst The Public That Is Mostly Uninformed, By Questioning Mr. Obama’s Authority When In Fact They Are Aware Of The FACTS.

IMMIGRATION NOVEMBER 19 14

Using Executive Order On Immigration, Obama Would Reverse Long-Held Stance![NYT]

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 17, 2014 by sheriffali

Mr. Obama has effectively reversed his position and now said he believes that such actions can be “legally unassailable,” as a senior White House official put it last week. Mr. Obama is expected to announce plans soon to expand the program for Dreamers to shield up to five million people from deportation and provide work permits for many of them.

The president insisted over the weekend that he had not changed his position. During a news conference in Australia, the president said that his earlier answers about the limits of his executive authority were prompted by people who asked him whether he could enact, by fiat, a bipartisan immigration bill that had passed the Senate, which would have provided a path to legalization for more of the 11 million unauthorized people in the United States.

“Getting a comprehensive deal of the sort that is in the Senate legislation, for example, does extend beyond my legal authorities,” Mr. Obama said Sunday. “There are certain things I cannot do.”

In fact, most of the questions that were posed to the president over the past several years were about the very thing that he is expected to announce within a matter of days: whether he could do something to reduce deportations and keep families together if Congress would not act.

The president was pressed on that very issue during a Google Hangout in February 2013. An activist asked whether he could do more to keep families from being “broken apart” while Congress remained gridlocked on immigration legislation.

“This is something that I have struggled with throughout my presidency,” Mr. Obama said. “The problem is, is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.”

Officials have said the president could announce a series of executive actions as early as this week. The move comes after a concerted lobbying campaign by immigration advocates demanding presidential action in the face of 400,000 deportations every year. And it reflects the president’s mounting frustration that Republicans have blocked all efforts to pass immigration legislation.

At the news conference in Australia over the weekend, Mr. Obama implored Congress to pass a bill that would secure the border, revamp the legal immigration system and legalize many of the 11 million unauthorized immigrants living in the United States.

“Give me a bill that addresses those issues,” Mr. Obama said at the conclusion of the G-20 summit in Brisbane, Australia. “I’ll be the first one to sign it and, metaphorically, I’ll crumple up whatever executive actions that we take and we’ll toss them in the wastebasket.”

White House officials said they did not believe that Republicans, who will control both chambers in Congress next year, have any intention of passing a bill that the president could sign. They note that Mr. Obama delayed any executive action throughout 2013 and 2014, hoping that Speaker John A. Boehner would allow a vote in the House on a bipartisan bill that passed the Senate.

When that did not happen by the summer, officials said, Mr. Obama decided he should act on his own.

That decision puts the president in a drastically different posture than the one he took in numerous interviews and speeches since 2010. In those settings, Mr. Obama was repeatedly urged to act on his own to reduce the number of families that were being separated by deportations. In each of the appearances, he rejected the idea and urged people to pressure Republicans in Congress to pass a bill.

The United States Supreme Court Five Conservative Justices, Is The Sewage Sludge Plant For Right Wing Republican Excrement.

Texas New Voter ID Law is deemed to be discriminatory against Blacks and Hispanics, but the Supreme Court struck down a Federal Judge ruling that had block the implementation of Texas Voter ID law in the upcoming Mid Term Election.

We saw these same Justices allowing Corporations to fuel as much money in all Elections when they ruled in the Citizens United Case. In addition they took the side of Corporations as “People,” in the Hobby Lobby case that discriminated against women’s right.

The tampering of the Voting Rights of Blacks and other minority Citizens begun, when Chief Justice Roberts and the other four Conservatives struck down Section 4 of the Voting Right Act that literally disabled Section 5, the most important Section of the Voting Right Act of 1964.

In any country but especially in America, when the Highest Court in the land decide cases based on Political Affiliation rather than the Constitution, we fall into the Abyss faster than we can even realize.

We must never forget that it was William Rehnquist’s Supreme Court that disenfranchised the State of Florida that gave George W Bush the Presidency. If we stop being prejudiced for a moment and or taking Political sides, Bush did more damage to America than did Pearl Harbor. Thousands died on 9/11/01 and thousands more died in George W Bush’s insane Invasion of Iraq.

When would the American people wake up and see the Republicans for the frauds they are? They cut 600 Million Dollars from the CDC Budget and now they blame everyone for the dangers of Ebola; they have blocked every Domestic Bill that would have helped the Working Class, Poor, Elderly, Students and the Country; they create millions of Veterans from Wars based on their phantasmagoric rationales and internecine Policies and then they Vote against Veterans Bills. And yet, the great majority of Americans that do not benefit from Republicans, those same people Vote to keep these repugnant reprobates in Office! Go figure how stupidity exist!

Republicans Endorse Heavily Armed Men Attempting To Wage War With The U.S. Government; America’s real enemy – Republicans, Religion, Tea Party, Fox, Guns and Wars…

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 13, 2014 by sheriffali

A fantasy is a situation imagined by an individual or group which does not correspond with reality, but expresses certain desires or aims of its creator(s). Fantasy is not unlike little kiddies playing make believe where they pretend or imagine things are different than they really are and imitate something that is real; such as when small children pretending they are grown-up army men with an enemy to kill. Since Americans elected an African American man as President, a group of childish men fantasized they are either living in 1776 fighting the government to preserve their freedom, or mobilizing to wage war against a foreign army invading America’s borders.

The children pretending they are revolutionary war heroes protecting the U.S. Constitution have been amassing their imaginary army on the Southern border to battle the influx of refugee children fleeing violence in Central America. These make-believe warriors have the express consent and blessing of Texas Republicans who love the idea of armed vigilantes wanting to “point their guns dead at children, right between the eyes, and say get back across the border or you will be shot.” The seriousness of the issue is the make-believe army men are not children, they are heavily armed, and not only do they want to shoot child refugees, they want to wage war against the government.

Two Texas Republicans, gubernatorial candidate Gregg Abbott and state Representative Doug Miller claimed that the armed militias “have a right to be there to help ranchers and owners keep illegals coming onto their property.” A couple of weeks ago after a dozen Texas Democrats sickened by the armed threats against child refugees penned a letter to Abbott imploring him to “denounce the actions of these militia groups and clarify the jurisdiction these militia groups have to patrol alongside local law enforcement and Border Patrol agents,” Abbott did what one expects from a Texas Republican; claimed the Democrats’ letter was a “partisan political stunt” because Abbott has absolutely no problem with heavily armed vigilantes threatening refugee children.

The armed militias Abbott will not denounce and Miller claims have every right to play army are a dangerous combination of so-called Oathkeepers and members of the “Three Percenters Club.” Besides being make-believe border guards, both groups are “paranoid anti-government conspiracy freaks” and proven “potentially violent gun activists” who think supporting and defending the United States Constitution is threatening the government and confronting children at the border. However, like most children living in a fantasy, neither group can elucidate how amassing at the border heavily-armed or threatening the government is “defending and supporting the Constitution.”

The Oathkeepers claim they, like every public school teacher, swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic; “and meant it.” The Oathkeepers warn of government officials planning to “disarm the American people, confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, and blockade American cities thus turning them into giant concentration camps.” There is no truth to their claims, but that is precisely why they live in a fantasy world; their claims are imaginary. What Oathkeepers cannot say, is where in the Constitution it tells them to lock and load to confront brown children at the border, commit seditious conspiracy against a United States agency (Bureau of Land Management), or aim their guns at federal officials executing a court order to “start the second revolutionary war.”

According to Vanderboegh, “We intend to maintain our God-given natural rights to liberty and property, and that means most especially the right to keep and bear arms. We are committed to the restoration of the Founders’ Republic, and are willing to fight, die and, if forced by any would-be oppressor, kill in the defense of ourselves and the Constitution that we all took an oath to uphold against enemies foreign and domestic. The collectivists (Charles Koch’s name for non-conservatives) who now control the government should leave us alone if they wish to continue unfettered oxygen consumption. Attempt to further oppress us at your peril and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS.”

The Three Percenters, like the Oathkeepers, are part of the mindset that joined Cliven Bundy to start the second revolutionary war against the United States because they support and defend the Constitution. The Constitution, by the way, that gave two federal courts power to order federal officials to prevent Bundy from trespassing on federal land. Like the situation in Texas where Republicans support armed vigilantism at the border, Republicans supported Bundy and his play soldiers praising them as patriots who had “a right to be there ‘helping’ a rancher keep ‘illegals’ (federal officers) from coming onto” the U.S. government’s land.

These so-called Constitution supporters’ fantasy that it is their job to take on the role of border patrol agents, or threaten violence against the United States government, although childish, is dangerous and every bit as much the fault of Republicans as the traitors arming up against the government and children. Republicans sounded a clarion call to defend the border from “ebola infested” children with terrorist ties invading America because there is a midterm election looming, and spent the past five-and-a-half years warning of an overreaching government seizing their guns and subverting their freedom; even though there have been no gun safety laws passed since 1995, and ebola is unique to the African continent, not Central America. Republicans have perpetuated the fantasy that America is facing an existential threat since 2009, and it informs the real reason so-called defenders of the Constitution are taking up arms against the government is because they hate democracy that allowed the people to elect an African American man to occupy the White House. Those two elections drove their fantasy that they are in revolutionary war against America and child immigrants.

Everything about the armed militias plaguing America is borne of their fantasy belief that they have been assaulted because the people elected a Black man as President. They cannot possibly support and defend the Constitution because the fantasy document they support is not remotely related to the real Constitution any more than arming up against child refugees and the federal government is being a patriot. A child’s imagination, fantasies, and make believe is a wonder to behold, but when grown men that should be holding down a real job instead of fantasizing they are in a revolutionary war against the United States government and use firearms to confront refugee children, their fantasy makes the traitors against America and cowards for laying in wait for child refugees fleeing violence in Central America.
