Con Man Donald Trump Did Not Win But America Lost; More Than Most Would Ever Know. History Would Be Kinder To Hillary Clinton Than The Generation She Sacrificed Her Life For!

[New York Times] HillaryClinton “I knew it. I knew this would happen to me,” she said, now within a couple of inches of Mr. Mook’s ashen face. “They were never going to let me be president.”

Every major life decision in my 20s and 30s — when to get married, where to buy an apartment, whether to freeze my eggs until after the election — had revolved around a single looming question: What about Hillary Clinton?

Things were already looking bad when, several people told me, Chelsea Clinton popped the Champagne. It was just after 9 p.m. on election night and she was having her hair and makeup done in the family’s suite at the Peninsula hotel. She stopped to pour what someone said was Veuve Clicquot into everyone’s glasses, figuring that in a couple of hours Donald Trump’s run of early victories in red states (West Virginia, Oklahoma, Alabama) would end and the map would turn back in her mom’s favor.

Three hours later, the Rust Belt was awash in red, and somebody had to tell Hillary Clinton.

California law calls for schools to teach about the significance of Obama’s election

California law calls for schools to teach about the significance of Obama’s election

The measure passed in the California Assembly earlier this month on a 76-1 vote.

California textbooks will teach about the significance of President Obama’s election under a new law signed Monday by Gov. Jerry Brown (D).

The measure, AB 1912, requires the California Instructional Quality Commission to consider including instruction on Obama’s election during its next revision of history-social science curriculum. This curriculum hasn’t been updated in nine years, the bill’s sponsor, Assemblyman Chris Holden (D), said in a statement, and will not be updated until the 2015-2016 school year.

“We want to make sure that future generations understand that the election of our nation’s first African American president was a historic step in the effort towards equality and that previous elections involved intimidation and violence that prevented millions of African Americans from voting,” Holden said.

Holden’s office said the measure is “the first step toward acknowledging President Obama’s legacy for generations to come” and allows Obama to “take his rightful place in California textbooks.”[Washington Post]

Artist Kara Walker Draws Us Into Bitter History With Something Sweet…

Kara Walker was barely out of art school when she won a MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant, in 1997. Back then, her early work shocked audiences in part because her murals looked so charming from a distance. Black paper shadow portraits of colonial figures seemed to dance on white gallery walls; but lean in and you’d find your nose pressed up against images of slavery’s horrors — mammies, masters, lynchings and sexual violence.

In other words, Walker is used to filling a room. But this spring she was asked to fill a warehouse — the abandoned Domino Sugar factory in New York. It’s about to be leveled to make way for condos and offices, but before it goes, Walker was asked to use this cavernous, urban ruin for something special.

Walker took me on a tour of the show a day before it opened. The factory is covered in sugar — it almost looks like insulation or burned cotton candy.

“It’s a little bit sticky in some areas …” she said. “There’s sugar caked up in the rafters.”

I was so busy trying not to get molasses on my shoes that when I turned the corner, I was stunned. There in the middle of this dark hall was a bright, white sphinx. The effect is the opposite of those white-walled galleries; a dark space and a towering white sculpture made of — what else? — sugar.

“What we’re seeing, for lack of a better term, is the head of a woman who has very African, black features,” Walker explained. “She sits somewhere in between the kind of mammy figure of old and something a little bit more recognizable — recognizably human. … [She has] very full lips; high cheekbones; eyes that have no eyes, [that] seem to be either looking out or closed; and a kerchief on her head. She’s positioned with her arms flat out across the ground and large breasts that are staring at you.”

Walker has dreamed up a “subtlety” — that’s what sugar sculptures were called in medieval times. They were a luxury confectioners created for special occasions.

CNN like other News Outlets are asking: “Who would History judge more favorably; Obama or Clinton?”

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 21, 2013 by sheriffali

The capricious thinker would automatically choose Bill Clinton, but I think it would be Obama!

President Obama! If people try not to be so capricious in their thinking, they would see all of the problems below that Obama rectified, including the main person that scarred us with 9/11! Doing good in this world is always costly and the ACA eventually will be rectified, and it will go down in History just as Social Security and the other Social Programs have.

Bill Clinton blew with the Political wind. He promised National Insurance and it never happened. He handled Gays in the Military by “Don’t ask Don’t Tell.” He went along with the crazy Republicans and signed into law [DOMA] Defense of Marriage Act for which the Supreme Court said was unconstitutional. [It took Obama to right these wrongs for our fellow human beings from both Clinton and Bush]

In 1996 he went along again with the Republicans and signed a Bill “Immigration Reform.” That Bill violates the Double Jeopardy Clause in the Constitution.

When he took Office Terrorist blew the Twin Towers basement; He and Janet Reno burn down the David Koresh facility that was housing mostly children; In 1995 Bin Laden and his fellow terrorists blew up the Kobar Towers in Saudi Arabia that was housing our Soldiers; Bill sat on his ass and witnessed the slaughter of 850,000 people in Rwanda and Burundi; In 1998 Terrorist blew up two of our Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania; In 1999 Terrorist blew up the USS Cole killing 49 of our service members. What exactly did Bill Clinton do about all of this madness? Not a damn thing!

It was under Bill Clinton’s Stewardship that Mortgage Rules were relaxed and when George W. Bush took over, he compounded the situation and the real estate bottom fell out.

As for the economy, yes, Bill did do some good but at the inception of his Presidency he had the Dot Com wind at his back. By 2000, the Dot Com crashed!

Notice, I didn’t get into the sex scandal because for me, that was then and now between Bill Clinton, his wife and daughter and God!

By no means should my opinion be seen as a defense for Bush and Cheney! As far as I am concerned, these two egregious people took 225 years of American sacrifice and tossed it to the Coyotes’ They both should be in Prison!
