FLIGHTS OF INSANITY TOWERS OF TRAGEDY

9/11 The Innocent Were On The Flight

They Knew Not Their Plights

The Ideologically Demented Were Also On Board

Fanatically Disillusioned Was Their Concept Of God

Anguish And Anger They Commandeered The Planes

With Impunity For Themselves But For Life Only Disdain

Instructions From Sheol They Crashed Into The Towers

Unimaginable Destruction In Less Than An Hour

With So Many Lives Headed For The Grave

New City Rescuers Displayed The Meaning Of Brave

Rushing Into The Buildings Not Knowing What To Expect

Down Came The Towers And The Smell Of Death

Father Of Light Giver Of Grace

In This Darkness Show Us Thine Face

This Tragedy We Cannot Comprehend

But This Evil You Will Bring To An End

Let us this 25th Day of December 2013, spiritually go down to Bethlehem, and;

In the company with the wondering shepherds and adoring Magi, let us see Him who was born King of Kings, for we by faith can claim an interest in Him.

Jesus is Jehovah incarnate, our Lord and our God, and yet our brother and friend; let us adore and admire, Immanuel, God with us in our nature, in our sorrow, in our life work, in our punishment, in our grave, and now with us, or rather we with Him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and Second Advent splendor.

“The Virgin Woman,” not the offspring of the man, shall conceive and bear a Son!

Since venturous woman led the way in the sin which brought forth Paradise lost, she, and she alone, ushers in the Regainer of Paradise. Our Savior, although truly man, was as to His human nature the Holy One of God.

Let us reverently bow before the Holy Child whose innocence restores to mankind its ancient glory; and let us pray that He may be formed in us, “the hope of glory.” Fail not to note His humble parentage. His mother has been described simply as “a Virgin,” not a princess, or prophetess, nor a matron of large estate, but yet how humble her position, how poor the man to whom she stood affianced, and how miserable the accommodation afforded to the New-Born King!

Light is come, the light of immortality, the light of a Father’s countenance.

Adieu, our beloved, Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, thou hast light at even-tide, such as we have not yet! We thank you!

These Four Twentieth Century Saints sacrificed their lives and lived out the words of Christ; “There is no greater love than to lay down your life for another!”

Pain breaks not the calm of the sweet twilight of age, for strength made perfect in weakness bears up with patience under it all. Ripe fruits of choice experience are gathered as the rare repast of life’s evening, and the soul prepares itself for rest.

The Lord’s people shall also enjoy light in the hour of death. Unbelief laments; the shadows fall, the night is coming, existence is ending. Ah no, crieth faith, the night is far spent, the true day is at hand. Light is come, the light of immortality, the light of a Father’s countenance. Gather up thy feet in thy bed; see the waiting bands of spirits!

Angeles waft thee away. Farewell, beloved, thou art gone, thou wavest thine hands. Ah, now it is light. The pearly gates are open; the golden streets shine in the jasper light. We cover our eyes, but thou beholdest the unseen, adieu, beloved, thou hast light at even-tide, such as we have not yet! AMEN!

These four very special people lives were embedded in the wonderful words of Emily Dickinson;

“If I can stop one heart from breaking,

I shall not live in vain;

If I can ease one life the aching,

Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin

Unto his nest again,

I shall not live in vain.”

In his father’s anger the child lost four fingers; in his father’s remorse, he committed suicide!

While a man was polishing his new car, his young son picked up a stone and scratched a line on the side of the car. In anger, the man took his child’s hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital the child lost all four fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father with painful eyes he asked, “Dad, when will my fingers grow back? The father was so hurt and speechless he went back to his car and kicked it several times. Devastated by his own actions sitting next to the car he looked at the scratches; the child had written; “LOVE YOU DAD.” The next day the child’s Dad committed suicide.

Anger and love have no limits; chose the latter and irrespective of what each new day brings, you would be thankful and happy. You see in the final analysis;

“Things are to be used and people are to be loved, but the problem in today’s world is that, People are used and things are loved!”

For the remainder of this year let us all be mindful to keep this incident in its proper perspective;

“Things are to be used, but People are to be loved.”

It may be a blessing for us to remember to watch our thoughts for they become words; watch our words for they become actions; watch our actions, they become habits; watch our habits for they become character and we must watch our character for it becomes our destiny.

The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not protect you, so, the best use of life is love; the best expression of love is time and the best time to love, is now!

Guilt is the dark night in which the fair star of divine love shines with serene splendor!

Have you ever weighed and considered how great the sins of God’s people are? Think how heinous are our own transgressions, and we will find that not only does a sin here and there tower up like an alp, but that our iniquities are heaped upon each other, as in the old fable of the giants who piled Pelian upon Ossa – mountain upon mountain.

Consider the aggregate of sin there is in the life of one of the most sanctified of God’s children and attempt to multiply this, the sin of one only, by the multitude of the redeemed, “a number which no man can number,” and you will have some conception of the great mass of the guilt of the people for whom Jesus shed His Blood.

Angles cast their crowns before Him! All the choral symphonies of heaven surround His glorious throne, and yet, God took the form of a servant, and is scourged and pierced, bruised and torn, and at last slain; since nothing but the blood of the incarnate Son of God could make atonement for our offenses.

Therefore, the believer, even when sin rolls like a black flood, and the remembrance of the past is bitter, can yet stand before the blazing throne of the great and Holy God and cry, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died; yea rather, that had risen again.

While the recollection of our sins fills us with shame and sorrow, we at the same time make it a foil to show the brightness of God’s Mercy. Guilt is the dark night in which the fair star of divine love shines with serene splendor!

“Search me O God

And know my heart,

Try me and know my anxieties

See Lord, if there is any wicked way in me,

And lead me the way everlasting.”

(Psalm 139)
