By the time Chris Christie became governor of New Jersey, the state’s auditors and lawyers had been battling for several years to collect long-overdue taxes owed by the casinos founded by his friend Donald Trump.

The total, with interest, had grown to almost $30 million. The state had doggedly pursued the matter through two of the casinos’ bankruptcy cases and even accused the company led by Mr. Trump of filing false reports with state casino regulators about the amount of taxes it had paid.

But the year after Governor Christie, a Republican, took office, the tone of the litigation shifted. The state entertained settlement offers. And in December 2011, after six years in court, the state agreed to accept just $5 million, roughly 17 cents on the dollar of what auditors said the casinos owed.

Tax authorities sometimes settle for lesser amounts to avoid the costs and risks of further litigation, legal experts said, but the steep discount granted to the Trump casinos and the relationship between the two men raise inevitable questions about special treatment.

“You can’t tell whether there’s something problematic, but it’s pretty striking that this one was written down so much,” said David Skeel, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School who specializes in bankruptcy law and reviewed the case at the request of The New York Times.

The refusal by Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, to release his personal income tax returns has become a growing issue in the campaign. He has also boasted of his success in lowering his tax burden as a businessman, declaring last year in an interview on Fox News that only “a stupid person, a really stupid person, is paying a lot of taxes.”

Nurse Kaci Hickox V. Chris Christie and the Republicans Science Deniers!

People don’t understand but I need attention and if being up here on the bridge in my Birthday Suit will help me, then damn it, I will just sit here. It looks likes locking-up the Nurse may have back-fired. Governor Como deceived me, he said he will stick with me but then Obama pressured him and he caved. What a fool I am.

FORT KENT, Maine — A nurse who was confined against her will at a New Jersey hospital after returning from West Africa where she treated Ebola patients said Wednesday that she’s prepared to go to court if the state of Maine tries to quarantine her. However, Maine’s governor said the state will “seek legal authority to enforce the quarantine” on Kaci Hickox.

Governor Paul R. LePage issued a statement saying state officials “are very concerned about her safety and health and that of the community” and said that Maine State Police will monitor the residence in Fort Kent where Hickox is staying.

“Upon learning the health care worker intends to defy the protocols, the Office of the Governor has been working collaboratively with the State health officials within the Department of Health and Human Services to seek legal authority to enforce the quarantine,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Hickox spoke to NBC’s “Today” show and ABC’s “Good Morning America” from Fort Kent, where her boyfriend is a senior nursing student.

She said she has so far abided by the state’s voluntary quarantine. She had no contact with anyone Tuesday and will have no human contact again Wednesday, she said.

“I don’t plan on sticking to the guidelines,” Hickox said on “Today.” ”I remain appalled by these home quarantine policies that have been forced upon me even though I am in perfectly good health.”

Her lawyer told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Hickox isn’t willing to cooperate further unless the state lifts “all or most of the restrictions.”

Hickox, who volunteered in Africa with Doctors Without Borders, was the first person forced into New Jersey’s mandatory quarantine for people arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport from three West African countries. [CBS]

Chris Christie’s overwhelming arrogance is his inferiority complex about his weight in Public life!

Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer has everything to lose including going to Prison for Perjury for telling the truth; if that truth turns out to be a “lie.”  On the other hand Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno has everything to gain by being untruthful, in her attempt to contradict Ms. Zimmer.

As sure as the Sun would rise, Ms. Guadagno will be called to testify under Oath and at that time, it would be interesting to see how her statement then would contradict her “non-binding” statement during her Monday’s so-called News Conference where she made it clear, “she wasn’t going to answer any questions.”

Also on Monday evening, Dawn Zimmer stood her ground during an interview with Anderson Cooper and did not retract any statement or claims she has made. Ms. Zimmer also stated that the Committee did not vote for the allocation of funds until much later, hence the reason why she did not come forward and created any commotion, because as she said; “80% of her City were under water during the Sandy Storm and she wanted to obtain the funds to help the people.

Apparently Mr. Christie and his Staff would stop at nothing by claiming that they gave Ms. Zimmer 70 Million dollars, when in fact what Mr. Christie’s Administration actually gave to Ms. Zimmer was $382,000.00. The 70 Million dollar figure is funds obtained by Business and Property Owners from their “Flood Insurance.”

Even though I do believe that we must wait until the total investigation is completed, the “domino-effect” has created a pattern of Governor Christ Christie’s egregiousness. It defies logic that the George Washington Bridge fiasco was unknown to Mr. Christie, considering the fact that the highest members of his “Staff,” are the people that triggered the closing down of all of the lanes into “one,” creating the hellish disaster for all parties having to use one of America’s most important and busiest bridges. The damning fact comes from the emails from Christie’s Staff. Chris Christie’s action by supposedly throwing them under the bus, maybe a farce! It seems self evident that Mr. Christie the people allowed Christie to thrown them under the bus because of a promise to hopefully vindicate them and more so, keep them from going to Prison.

In the final analysis, “the truth always comes out,” irrespective of who or what you are!”
