Rob O’Neill, The former Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden is slamming Seymour Hersh’s report that challenges the White House’s account of the mission, calling it “garbage.”

[WSJ] Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published an article Sunday about the 2011 raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan that immediately went viral, crashing the London Review of Books Web site.

Among its striking claims: Bin Laden was a “prisoner” of the Pakistani intelligence service in his Abbottabad compound since 2006; the United States learned of Bin Laden’s whereabouts through a former Pakistani intelligence officer; Saudi Arabia was “financing Bin Laden’s upkeep”; and Pakistan’s military helped Washington plan the raid.

There’s a lot to absorb in Mr. Hersh’s lengthy story. The White House has denied the allegation that Pakistan cooperated on the raid. Here are three reasons to be skeptical of some of the article’s claims:

Sourcing. This article takes the practice of anonymous attribution to a new level. Mr. Hersh’s 10,356-word account is based nearly exclusively on a handful of unnamed sources–which can’t be fact-checked–and mainly one retired U.S. intelligence official. One of the only named sources is Asad Durrani, a former director of Pakistani intelligence in the early 1990s. In an Al Jazeera interview this year, Mr. Durrani insinuated that Pakistani intelligence knew about Bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad. But Mr. Durrani retired more than 20 years ago. Even in a country where retired security establishment figures retain influence and access, such a long separation from public service suggests that Mr. Durrani is not the most plugged-in source.

Quotations. Mr. Hersh’s account features voluminous, sometimes paragraphs-long quotations. Some are suspect for logical reasons; among theskepticism expressed online, for example, was a point on social media that the way in which a “former Seal commander” reportedly spoke about SEAL missions is unrealistic. Other remarks appear absurd or, at the least, ill-informed. The retired U.S. intelligence official says that Pakistani military officers believe they are the “keepers of the flame against Muslim fundamentalism.” Based on what I’ve observed as an analyst of Pakistan, I would argue that it’s more accurate to say the Pakistani military is a keeper of the flame of fundamentalism, thanks to its associations with militant groups.

U.S.-Pakistan Relations. In early 2011, U.S.-Pakistan relations were in deep crisisthanks in part to Raymond Davis, a CIA contractor who was arrested after killing two people at a crowded intersection in Lahore. According to Mr. Hersh, at that point the CIA and Pakistani intelligence were closely cooperating and jointly planning the raid on the Bin Laden compound. He writes that the retired U.S. intelligence source said that a Pakistani intelligence “liaison officer” flew with the SEALS on the night of the raid. Unless the crisis in relations was an elaborate cover, it beggars belief to assume such close intelligence cooperation.

Mr. Hersh is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who has broken major stories, including the My Lai massacre in Vietnam and Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. This account purports to explain an elaborate conspiracy theory, and–as I have written previously–such stories sometimes contain elements of truth.

Still, the issues of sourcing and substance suggest taking Mr. Hersh’s account with a healthy dose of salt.

Just as one Former Navy Seal is about to reveal himself as Osama bin Laden’s Killer in an interview on Fox News, another, Matt Bissonnette is being investigated for spilling Classified Secrets.[UPI October 31, 2014.]

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 31, 2014 by sheriffali

Former Navy SEAL Matt Bissonnette not only wrote a best-sellling book about the raid that killed bin Laden, but he also speaks at corporate events about his role on the elite Navy SEAL Team 6 that tracked down the master terrorist. In one event at an Atlanta gold club, everyone was first asked to turn in their cell phones while Bissonnette spoke so nothing could be recorded.

Bissonnette says he has been hounded since he first told his story in 2011 on “60 Minutes.” His attorney claims he thought a settlement had been reached over the issue with the Pentagon and Justice Department when Bissonnette forfeited some of his millions of dollars in royalties from the book.

Now Bissonnette is about to follow up his first book, “No Easy Day,” with another next month, “No Hero: The Evolution of a Navy SEAL,” published under his pen name, Mark Owen. His attorney said the manuscript was submitted to the Pentagon for review.

Bissonnette’s attorney said he decided to write his first book after the CIA and Pentagon cooperated with the creators of the film “Zero Dark Thirty.” Bissonnette’s view, his attorney told the New York Times, was: “Wait a minute. This is our story, not their story.”

BIN LADEN - NAVY SEAL INVESTIGATION

President Obama didn’t wreck America, Obama saved America!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 8, 2014 by sheriffali

Obama is blamed for all that ails America, but, factually, Bush and Cheney recklessness that literally raped the country of precious lives lost in Iraq; tens of thousands wounded; 5.1 trillion for the two wars added to the debt; 1.1 trillion tax cuts for the rich; lack of regulations that wrecked the housing market; millions of jobs lost; the Stock Market plunged to its lowest level; 1,000 plus banks closed down and the loss of America’s goodwill worldwide; manifested itself into the United States Disaster.

President Obama has been in Office 5 years and 6 months and since that time 10 million jobs were created; the housing market rebounded; the Stock Market that is the symbol of America’s financial strength excelled; The Dow went from 7,200 to 17,000; The NASDAQ went from below 2,000 to 4,800; and the S & P that house most of the 401K plans went from 730 to over 2,000. No banks are closing down and disappearing with depositors funds; Wall Street is regulated to some degree despite Republicans opposition and according to Economists and the Wall Street Journal, under Obama spending stands at 1 ¼%, the lowest than any previous President.

Obama ended the War in Iraq but the Oil Invasion in 2003 by Bush and Cheney was always going to end up being a House of Cards. Osama bin Laden, the man that brought so much grief and destruction to America was not taken out by Bush and Cheney despite their braggadocios for the 7 years and 3 months they ran the country subsequent to September 11, 2001 disaster. Bin Laden’s death came about by one of the most risky Military Operations in modern times by our well trained men and women in Uniform, under the direction of President Obama.

Afghanistan, which was a justified War with the world supporting us, Bush and Cheney bifurcated that War to go  on their Oil Invasion of Iraq, hence the reason, 13 years later, we are still in Afghanistan.

The escalation of the number of terrorists worldwide including ISIS and Al Qaeda in Iraq is the result of Bush and Cheney toppling Saddam Hussein. As bad as we may have viewed Saddam Hussein, while under his rule he was a terror to the Iraqis, but what is more than certain, he didn’t allow terrorists to operate inside of Iraq. George W Bush’s father in 1991 could have taken out Saddam Hussein but he didn’t, and the reason is Saddam Hussein was no religious fanatic, he ran a secular Government.

So now it is incumbent on all of us to ask the question, why is it that irrespective of all that President Obama has done for America and that is without any help from the “Do Nothing Republican Obstructionist Congress,” Obama’s is demeaned by Republicans, some Congressional Democrats and a large number of the American public.

I can’t help but wonder that if Barack Obama was 100% white and Republican, how the GOP would have used him as their Poster Child to win every election for decades to come. The problem with Democrats is that most of them are timid and they seem to be born without a backbone.

All 1,500 Television Stations; 9,000 Radio Stations; 1,500 News Paper; 3,000 Magazines and the 2,400 Publishers are owned by six [6] corporations. It is no wonder good news like 288,000 jobs created in one month is news for about an hour or two, but when the job market fell in August to 142,000, they are all still beating the drum of “slow-down.”

In the final analysis, majority of Americans are uninformed, ignorant of facts and those that are not brainwashed, they are sinister about Obama’s 50% African American blood. People don’t like to talk about race, especially the Media, but race became front and center since Mr. Obama became President.

BARACK OBAMA - SAVED AMERICA

Dick Cheney, America’s Repugnant Reprobate Totally Disrespected President Obama in the WSJ and also says Obama is wrong about everything;

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 18, 2014 by sheriffali

Cheney, the man who profited 39.5 billion dollars from the Iraqi War that took the lives of 6,781 Soldiers; 50, 159 Wounded on Cheney’s Watch; and cost the Tax Payers 1.7 Trillion Dollars.

One has to wonder in amazement just how much lower in values America has to go when you see the Polling Data that a majority in America is in line with Cheney, the other Republicans and the Powered Botoxed talking heads at Fox News and their twisted guests.

“Tracking this hate back to just after the G.W. Bush departure, a compilation of a wigged-out right-wing sites and others of a similar mien continuously examine the premise, why the world “Hates” Obama or euphemistically, U.S. “leadership.” One of the president’s shortcomings is apparently his refusal to fight every Muslim nation on the planet. Whenever he doesn’t send your son or daughter to a far-off land to get butchered for essentially local civil-religious wars and multi-national oil interests, he’s accused of being an appeaser. His Nobel Peace Prize is held in total contempt by the warmongers. Trying to prevent needless deaths is perceived as “hostility to American power.

Other Obama-bashings include: His administration is a rolling disaster and “He’s failed from sea to shining sea.” A Pew Research Center survey is referenced that since 2009, favorable attitudes toward the U.S. had slipped everywhere in the world except Russia and Japan. American (read Obama)-hating surveys and lists are always appearing in assorted right-wing rags including the Wall Street Journal.” [Politicususa.com]

One doesn’t have to be Albert Einstein to know that at the end of George W Bush’s Presidency we were a country that was in disarray and on the verge of total collapse. The Housing Market had totally collapsed due to unregulated Banks that concocted a scheme titled “derivatives” that was the sole cause of millions losing their homes and others going under water. America’s Pillar of strength the Stock Market, the Dow fell to 6,500; Banking were being closed down at the rate of 150 plus per month wiping away people’s life savings. We were losing jobs at the rate of 800,000 per month and we had Two out of control Wars with a cost of 5.1 trillion dollars and counting, and yes, at the end of Bush’s Presidency it seemed very likely that we were about to become like Russia when the Soviet Union Collapsed – “A Bankrupt Country.”

Today, President Obama’s Leadership drew us out of the deep and unforgiving waters Bush and Cheney tossed us into.  One War has ended and the other is coming to an end and that is what has Cheney and the War Mongering Republicans up in arms, verbally abusing the President publicly every day. War is big business for the GOP and their “in the pocket contractors,” like Dick Cheney’s Halliburton that profited 39.5 billion dollars from the death and destruction caused by the Iraqi invasion.

How can anyone blame Obama for the chaos Bush and Bush’s Vulcans [gods of fire] caused by their policy “if you don’t agree with us you are against us and the go it alone unnecessary wars that turned the world upside down.

Facts, not hyperbole of President Obama’s accomplishments [With Citations]

“If you’re one of those folks who think President Obama is a “disappointment,” you haven’t been paying attention the last few years. And those of you who try to draw comparisons with the Bush Administration should put away the hallucinogens and have your memory checked.  If you were in a coma for the eight Bush Years, I apologize and forgive you. But please join the real world. So far, this president has done most of what he said he would do if elected; imagine what he could have done by now if progressives had supported him and not given him a Congress that doesn’t look at him as if he’s the demon seed.

Not only is Obama NOT a “disappointment,” he’s pretty much the opposite.

Not only is he NOT a “disappointment,” he’s pretty much the opposite. And no, I don’t just say that because he took out Osama bin Laden, helped Libya determine their own destiny for the first time in a while, and because he seems able to handle international incidents without starting a new war. The guy does nearly everything we elect a president to do, and he doesn’t brag about it constantly.

Is he perfect? No, he’s human. Does he deserve some criticism? I suppose, but I must admit I haven’t seen any complaints that were based on anything having to do with the real world. But the thing is, on balance, he’s mostly stellar. Besides, criticism about certain specific problems is one thing; taking on an overall “Obama sucks” meme not only had the potential to put Willard Romney into power, it’s also a lie. Just because you wanted a president who would give you a glitter-farting unicorn and didn’t quite get that doesn’t mean he’s not doing well at the job we hired him for.

What follows is a PARTIAL list of Obama’s accomplishments so far. Unlike many such lists, there is a link to a citation supporting every single one.

Legislative Prowess.

Despite the characterizations of some, Obama’s success rate in winning congressional votes on issues was an unprecedented 96.7% for his first year in office.  Though he is often cited as superior to Obama, President Lyndon Johnson’s success rate in 1965 was only 93%.   http://n.pr/i3d7cY[Source “Addicting info]
