[NYT] Six minutes and one second. That was all it took for the 66 years of Khizr Khan’s life to become an American moment.

“Donald Trump, What Have You Given? Nothing! No One!” [Khizr Khan Father of Captain Khan]

[SGA] “The Respect given to US Soldier Captain Khan’s family is our assurance that Donald Trump’s “Bigotry, Fascism, Racism, Hate And Lies”, shall never succeed in America. The 13 Million people that voted Trump in the Primary that enabled him to become the Republican Nominee, those seeds were sown decades ago by the GOP and are now being harvested in the person of Vermin Donald Trump”.

[NYT] It was not something that he could have anticipated. For years, he and his wife, Ghazala, had lived a rather quiet existence of common obscurity in Charlottesville, Va. He was known in circles that dealt with electronic discovery in legal proceedings. Another overlapping sphere was the rotating cast of cadets that passed through the Army R.O.T.C. program at the University of Virginia. His wife was a welcoming face to the customers of a local fabric store.

And the last dozen years for the Khans were darkened by their heartbreak over the death of a military son, Humayun, whose body lies in Arlington National Cemetery, his tombstone adorned with an Islamic crescent. Their grief brought them closer to a university and to a young woman in Germany whom their son loved. It also gave them a conviction and expanded the borders of their lives.

Some of their neighbors knew Mr. Khan liked to carry a $1 pocket Constitution around with him. In the Khan home, a stack of them always lay at the ready. Guests showed up and they were handed one, in the way other hosts might distribute a party favor. Mr. Khan wanted it to stimulate a conversation about liberty, a cherished topic of his. He liked to point out that he lives nearly in the shadow of Monticello, home of one of his heroes, Thomas Jefferson. Mrs. Khan liked to say, “We need Thomas Jefferson.”

And then the Khans stepped into a sports arena in Philadelphia and left as household names. In a passionate speech at the Democratic National Convention, the bespectacled Mr. Khan stingingly criticized Donald J. Trump and his stance on Muslim immigration, scolding him, “You have sacrificed nothing and no one.” Quickly enough, both Khans felt the verbal lashings of Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential candidate.

And just like that, they found themselves a pivot point in the twisting drama that is American politics.

Republicans Buttresses Israel Continue Racist Assault On President Obama Despite Sucking 4.5 Billion Dollars Annually From The American Taxpayers!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 25, 2015 by sheriffali

41 Republican Senators Blocked A Bill To Help Veterans With PTSD But Increased America’s Handout To Israel From 3.2 Billion To 4.5 Billion Annually. Republican Warmongers Send America’s Sons And Daughters In The Middle Of Religious Conflict Where They Are Killed And Wounded And The Same Warmongers Call Returning Veterans Moochers.

WHEN IS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE GOING TO WAKE UP?

“Do u know what Obama Coffee is? Black and weak.”

— A June 21 tweet by Judy Mozes, wife of Israeli interior minister and vice prime minister Silvan Shalom.

[Washington Post] Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes, a well-known Israeli radio and television personality, deleted the tweet and later apologized after drawing criticism for what she called a “stupid joke.”

Those who regard the Iran nuclear deal as a grave threat to Israeli and U.S. interests have a moral duty to vigorously oppose it, just as those of us who view the deal as the best way to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon should work for its adoption. Vilifying the president of the United States with slurs and insults, however, is out of bounds. Except, perhaps, in some places and with some people.

U.S.-born Michael Oren, Israel’s former ambassador to the United States, has done his own anti-Obama number. Citing President Obama’s upbringing,Oren suggested in a series of recent articles in Foreign Policy that the president’s “abandonment” by his mother’s “two Muslim husbands” created in him a desire for “acceptance by their co-religionists” that has now influenced his foreign policy. Conspiracy theorists and birthers could hardly have said it better — Obama’s Christianity notwithstanding.

This is beneath the Michael Oren I thought I knew.

It has come to this: racially charged affronts to the president of the United States from, of all places, Israel.

According to the Book of Esther, Haman, a high official of the ancient kingdom of Persia, sought to annihilate the Jewish people. A few months ago, Shlomo Riskin, chief rabbi of Efrat, a West Bank settlement, likened Obama to a scourge on the Holy Land, telling an audience, “The president of the United States is lashing out at Israel just like Haman lashed out at the Jews.”

Riskin wasn’t the first rabbi to dub Obama a reincarnation of Haman.

In 2012, Dov Lior, then chief rabbi of another West Bank settlement, Kiryat Arba, also compared Obama to Haman, according to Israel’s Army Radio. But Lior stooped lower. He labeled Obama a “kushi” of the West, which, the Jerusalem Post reported, is a modern-day derogatory term used to describe people of African descent.

It’s not only the name-calling and insults hurled at Obama that grab the gut. Behavior sends signals, too.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress drew rave reviews from his Republican hosts and most — but not all — of Israel’s supporters. Many members of the 46-member Congressional Black Caucus were outraged that Netanyahu would go behind the back of the White House and arrange with Republicans to use the U.S. Capitol as the stage to challenge the president’s Iranian nuclear negotiations. Several chose to stay away.

U.S. representative and caucus member James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, the third-ranking House Democrat, said he regarded Netanyahu’s speech as an “affront to America’s first black president.”

In an interview with USA Today columnist DeWayne Wickham, Clyburncalled Netanyahu’s White House end run “a real in-your-face slap at the president, and black folks know it. ... [Netanyahu] wouldn’t have done it to any other president.” Pressed as to why Netanyahu would disrespect Obama, Clyburn responded, “You know why.”

Should it come to a search for 40 Democratic votes to join the House’s 247 Republicans in voting to override a possible Obama veto of legislation blocking an Iranian deal, don’t look for help from the Congressional Black Caucus. Hostility to the current Israeli leadership is real, and not just among caucus members. Many of their African American constituents are quietly seething, too.

Clyburn’s “and black folks know it” speaks volumes.

To no surprise, Republicans are trying to exploit the situation.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee sent out a petition urging people to sign and “[t]ell Obama it’s now time to stand with Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu.” Are the petitions being circulated in Zip codes where large numbers of blacks reside? It would be wasted effort.

There is a larger concern. While the jury is still out, the argument over the Iran deal could well stress the long-standing and largely fruitful political alliance between blacks and Jews in this country.

It would be a pity if the nuclear arms debate shapes up as a dispute between U.S. supporters of Netanyahu’s policies and Americans who respect and trust Obama’s judgment. And it would be a sorrow to those of us who still look with favor upon an alliance that has stood the test in the hardest of times.

That may explain why the “Obama Coffee” insult, the rabbinical slurs and the below-the-belt punches of Israeli officials are so sad, dispiriting and potentially disrupting in ways that once seemed unimaginable.

Do Not Let Republican Candidates Hide Their Extremism These Midterms; Do Not Believe The Hyped-Up Polls; Media Conspiracy With The GOP!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 22, 2014 by sheriffali

Republicans and the People at Fox News should be ashamed to claim Patriotism and having any “nexus” to The United States Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

We’ve been witness to a concerted effort by the Republican Party, with the collusion of the mainstream media, to misdirect the American people, to draw their attention away from George W. Bush and to Barack H. Obama in his place. We’re told there were no terrorist attacks on the U.S. during the Bush administration (hello, 9/11!) but this is just the most prominent example.

Just this summer we saw Bush’s press secretary, Ari Fleischer, pretend he didn’t know when the Iraq War started. What is really important to Republicans is not Bush, whom they’d like to simply pretend never existed, but Obama. All history began with Obama.

This works on a smaller scale too, where what can’t be wished away can be ignored. Bill O’Reilly laughably claims he is an independent while toeing the Fox News line. So does the less notorious Joni Ernst, though when she opens her mouth you can see she’s all about the tea bagging.

And even if it does come up, because we insist on talking about it, we are told the extremism of Republican candidates doesn’t matter. The mainstream media broke its longstanding rule on institutional silence on Republican extremism in 2012, but they seem to have fallen back into their own ways this midterm election cycle. Just the other day, George F. Will, as Media Matters for America tells us,

“[D]ismissed Colorado Senate candidate Cory Gardner’s support for federal fetal personhood legislation that would outlaw abortions and some birth control measures nationwide, suggesting that Gardner’s position is irrelevant because the legislation has “zero chance of passing.”

Media Matters relates that, “In his October 17 syndicated column, Will sought to neutralize some of the most controversial parts of Gardner’s record: his past support for a statewide personhood bill in Colorado and current co-sponsorship of the Life At Conception Act in Congress”:

“Gardner favors over-the-counter sales of oral contraceptives. In addition to being common sense, Gardner’s proposal is his way of making amends for formerly advocating a state constitutional “personhood” amendment (it is again on the ballot this year and will be decisively rejected for a third time) and for endorsing similar federal legislation that has zero chance of passage. By defining personhood as beginning at conception, these measures might preclude birth control technologies that prevent implantation in the uterus of a fertilized egg.” [Politicususa]

When are the Voters going to see Republicans for the “frauds” they are?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 16, 2014 by sheriffali

Wretched Mortals Republican Congress Cut [$600,000,000.00] Six Hundred Million Dollars From the CDC Budget And Now They Are Blaming President Obama And Holding One of Their Dog and Pony Freak Show Hearings, Beating Up On The CDC. When Would The Voters See The Frauds For Who They Are?

They have obstructed, cut and or blocked all Bills having to do with helping the American people; Jobs Bill; Immigration Reform; Veterans Bill; Student Loans Decreased Interest; Block Companies From Moving Their Companies Overseas To Avoid Their Fair Share Of Taxes; and most critical, especially for Veterans and Children, Unemployment Insurance and cutting Food Stamps.

What is difficult to comprehend is that a comprehensive Poll was taken whereby 70% agreed that Republicans haven’t done anything to help, but in that same Poll, 75% want Republicans to control the Senate, in addition to them already controlling the House.

Why do people Vote against their own interest?

When you are dead you don’t know you are dead, others do but you don’t. Applying that same philosophy to “stupidity,” there’s your answer.

Why Are Congressional Democrats Distancing Themselves From President Obama When The Economic Record between Obama And Bush Is Crystal Clear?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 9, 2014 by sheriffali

Remember Al Gore! He too distanced himself from Bill Clinton’s amazing Economic Record and he lost to George W Bush by 538 Votes. Had Al Gone not run away from one of the most prosperous times in American History, Economically, Florida would not have mattered anyway. Just imagine, Gore couldn’t even win his own home State.

We are living in an age where 70% of the Public cannot name the Three Branches of Government or even name one Member of The House of Representatives or Senate in their own State, but the Media and the Pollsters are betting the 2014 Mid Term outcome on Polls taken from these same people.

It seems self evident that phantasmagoric rationales and internecine narcissism far outweighs “facts,” at a time when the majority of Americans are uninformed, ignorant, easily brainwashed and yes, down-right stupid.

In a consolidation of Polls 72% of Americans agree that the Republican Congress hasn’t done anything to help the Middle Class, Poor, Student or our Veterans, but yet, 75% want Republicans to take control of the Senate and keep control of the House. Just how dumb have we become from the influence of Cable News and Social Media, where lies are trolled as facts; hate blinds reality; and a majority of Americans calls President Obama, dumb and stupid.

Imagine, a man that Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard; taught Constitutional Law for twelve years and at 46, was elected President and reelected in 2012. A man that took America from the brink of collapse after eight years of Bush and Cheney meltdown and breathe life into America, yet he is disrespected and kicked around by the right-wing, some on the left and most in the Media.

One thing we have proven in America today by fulfilling the old adage; “Man is the only beast that runs faster when he has lost his way.”

The 2003 Shock and Awe Gang that got us into Iraq are obsessed with refighting the war!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 16, 2014 by sheriffali

Haven’t we lost enough of our most valuable assets in Iraq? In excess of 4,500 Deaths; 50,000 Wounded; over 1.7 trillion spent and the same people that got us into this unbelievable tragedy through lies and deception are all over the Television Stations telling us even bigger lies than in 2003, to convince us to do it again!

The War Mongers in Congress, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, John Boehner, and the other Republicans blocked the 21 Billion Dollar Veterans Bill; Slashed Food Stamps that  help to subsidize our Veterans Income; Refused to extend the Unemployment Insurance that are badly needed by our returning Veterans, and yes, they want to create more Veterans.

Iraq War is Bush, Cheney and the Gang that couldn’t shoot straight travesty, and as long as the Middle East remains chaotic, it will always be their fault. Press your memory’s rewind button and honestly see if prior to the Iraqi Invasion, the Middle-East was this upside down. There were always problems there for decades but it got severely worst subsequent to Bush’s unintelligent invasion of Iraq.

“On this week’s five Sunday news shows (CNN’s State of the Union, ABC’s This Week, NBC’s Meet the Press, CBS’ Face the Nation andFox News Sunday) almost all of the guests that were brought on for interviews were white Republican males. When the APreleased the Sunday show guest lineups on Saturday, of the 15 guest slots, only three were filled by Democrats, two of whom are minorities and only one being a woman. However, when the shows were actually broadcast, all three Democrats were relegated to panels. Face the Nation did book another Democrat, former National Security Adviser Tom Donilon, for an interview. Bob Schieffer also had on attorneys David Boies and Ted Olson to discuss their book. Boies is a known Democrat while Olson worked with President George W. Bush.

Outside of those two exceptions, the rest of the guests featured on Sunday’s shows are all white Republican men. On Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace interviewed Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), who made the most appearances on Sunday shows in 2013 and is on pace to be 2014′s top guest, Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) and Rep. Tom Price (R-GA). OVer on NBC, the majority of the program was dedicated to an interview with the loser of the 2012 Presidential election, Mitt Romney. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was listed as a featured guest, but he was instead part of a panel discussion.

Meanwhile, over on CNN, Dana Bash, filling in for Candy Crowley, interviewed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), like Rogers, a constant fixture on Sunday shows, and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), who lost to Tea Party challenger David Brat in Tuesday’s Republican primary. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) was listed as a guest by the AP, but ended up being part of a panel. ABC’s This Week also had Cantor on, along with Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX). The show was also hosted by Republican toad Jonathan Karl, rather than normal host George Stephanopoulos Meanwhile, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), another person listed as a guest by the AP, was merely part of the panel. CBS, besides the guests listed above, also featured interviews with Graham and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.” [Politicususa.com]

 GOP - IRAQ OBSESSION JUNE 16 14

Dick Cheney went on the Republican [EMBOUCHURE] Fox News and criticized Obama for pulling out the troops at the end of 2014!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 29, 2014 by sheriffali

The Republicans game has and continues to be; target the uninformed, brainwashed and the ignorant by using the Media to promulgate that America’s failure that occurred during Bush’s 2001 – 2008 leadership that literally wrecked America and the American people, “is all Obama’s fault.” It is self evident that Fox News are the leading “mouth piece” for this deceptiveness. The amazing fact is that the followers of the GOP that are so brainwashed, they remain entrenched in this Republican “Beehive” Fantasy!

If Obama had sent America’s Troops into Iraq in 2003 and two months later, he had put on his G.I. JOE uniform and landed in an F16 Jet Fighter on the Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier with the banner reading “Mission Accomplished,” and subsequently, over 4,500 soldiers were killed, more likely than not, he would have been brought up on charges of Treason!

President Obama who seems to always use his intelligence and thoughtfulness in his decision making process are constantly criticized by the right-wing, most of them former Bush’s Vulcans [gods of fire] that ignored the lessons of the cold war era of deterrence and containment, and instead introduced internecine policies of “might is right;” “unilateral action;”and worst of all, phantasmagoric rationales to justify their Orwellian terror Policies that damaged America in ways that are inconceivable to conceptualize.

Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice, the two “heads” of Bush’s Vulcans never took into consideration that in today’s modern world, that apart from a strong Military, in the final analysis; economics is the weapon of 21st Century. Looking at Iraq and Afghanistan, they are both disasters. Bush truncated the Afghanistan Invasion and got side tracked into Iraq and we all know how that turned out. Trillions spent and for what?

Considering that America was nothing more than a very depressed “swap-meet” when Obama took Office in 2009 and comparing America today, we have come a long way out of the deep and unforgiving waters we were tossed into by the Policies of Bush’s Vulcans. [gods of fire]. It is one thing to spout into the Television Camera or sit behind a desk and pen your thoughts with criticism, but, to become President in 2009 facing surmountable odds and with no help from the Republicans in Congress,  and still managed to place America on a sound footing, Mr. Obama should be praised, not lectured, by the morons that catapulted 235 years of America’s sacrifice and burnt our fortune.
